And don't work in Win2K and later (NT kernel)?

G-Police
Gex
>>
>>3779239
The GOG version of Gex works fine for me. (W10)

>>3379228
Star Wars Episode 1 Racer
Sega Rally 2
>>
>>3779253
Awesome, I must have been using a cracked version. It's really no different from the PS1 version but my disc is scratched.
>>
>>3779282
Scratched discs can be fixed with Glad furniture polish.

Shake the can first, then spray it onto folded toilet paper.
Brush the disc in straight lines from the center to the edge.
>>
>>3779228
the legacy of kain is really shit on new systems

The plastic side of the disc doesnt have ones or zeros, it just need to be transparent to the laser. The ones and zeros are on the label side.

So if the plastic is scratched there's a bunch of ways to buff out and repair the surface.

That wasn't specified in the original post.
>>
>>3779434
Okay, so you were just pretending to be retarded?

The only time I've ever seen a scratched data layer was when I intentionally did it. Every other scratch i see is on the plastic.
>>
>>3779343
Do you mean Soul Reaver or Blood Omen? Both work on modern systems (you need to some stuff for Blood Omen though)

Would furniture polish fix pic related?
>>
>>3779228
MechWarrior 3
Slave Zero (unless you like misaligned cross hairs)
Hellbender (and probably Fury3 as well)
Monster Truck Madness
Anything using Rendition/S3 Virge/PowerVR 3D APIs.

And basically anything else that is slightly obscure/isn't on GOG will have weird gameplay-affecting bugs at best and crashes to desktop at worst, that will leave you on a fruitless Google hunt with the only result being a forum thread from a decade ago of some guy having the same issue and no replies.
>>
>>3779253
>GOG version

The point of GoG is to make older games run on modern hardware or software retard.

We are obviously referring to retail versions.
>>
>>3779228
I remember "net: zone" (whatever that actually is) is one of the few windows 95 exclusive things in my collection
>>
>>3779228
Windows version of pic related
>>
>>3779463
Okay, I'm sorry. I guess you weren't pretending to be retarded.
>>
I can't figure out how to even get this running on newer computers
>>
>>3779659
Never heard of this.
How does it compare to the Incredible Machine and it's many variants?
>>
>>3779659
Why would you want to run that being an adult?

Heavy Gear (the first one)
and I think Cyberstorm too
>>

>why would anyone in their right mind want to play video games as an adult!?

You probably came from /v/ or at least belong there.
>>
>>3779662
probably for his kids? I dunno

but still, why not?
>>
>>3779669
Nostalgia idiot. Just for curiosity's sake.

>>3779661
very little to do. TiM is superior in every way. Honestly the game's not that good at all.
>>
I had House of the Dead running in a Windows Me VM but it had no audio.
>>
>>3779659
>Maxis Kids
That reminds me. Does SimTown work properly in W10? iirc it doesn't.
>>
>>3779676
Probably not. Speaking of which, does anyone remember this old software I had on my old computer. It was like a game sampler that you could install demos from like Number Muncher 2 and Simtown?
>>

>>
>>3779665
Heavy Gear works on Win 7 atleast

>>3779470
Monster Truck Madness works on Win 7
>>
>>3779463
Yes.
>>
>>3779473
Yes and just about every single GOG has been pirated and therefore easily available. MORE available than retail versions.

Ebay shiller detected. Does your butthurt?

Reminder that PCem exists that has 3dfx emulation based on mame's voodoo implementation, direct3d also works.

Dosbox with Windows 3.1 can handle it though

It sounds slow as fug though. What specs is the rig the youtuber used?

Doesn't sound ideal. Assplosions don't show correctly in Mechwarrior3, and Myth crashes after a while???
>>
>>3780763
SimTown not Sim Tower, it's a scaled down version of Sim City for kids where you can see individual households (some of which turned up in The Sims).
>>
I had a ton of work getting Kingpin: Life of Crime to work on my modern PCs. I tried with XP, 7 and 8 and always had to resort to a partition with 98 or ME. I think there's a GOG version now though.

>>3780704
>mame's voodoo
What? What arcades used Voodoo? Or is it from the MESS side?
>>
>>3780647
>Heavy Gear works on Win 7 atleast
really? Last time I tried the UI shat itself and locked my desktop resolution, not to mention the superturbo animations. The second game does indeed work perfectly, though.
>>

House of the Dead games?
>>
>>3780815
Didn't HotD 1 use the Sega Model 2 that was supposedly based on some weird Lockheed Martin chips?

Need for Speed 1. I think it's something to do with 9x not having proper memory protection, I should probably investigate more thoroughly.

gotta love the voice acting
also,

I swear to God I thought I was the only person that knew about that version.
>>
>>3782379
It was the definitive version with the higher res portraits and icons, that's for sure.
