Can anyone help me identify a game I played way back in like the mid 90s?
Pic related reminds me of it but its not it. It may have been a NES game, or some other system from that age. Maybe even Super Nintendo. I'm not sure.
In the game, you play as a ninja-like character. I think he had a sword. Its sort of 3D but not really... I guess its 3D in the same way that Star Fox for SNES was., and you control the ninja character from a 3rd person view. I remember the character jumping around a lot, and it may have been an on-rails sort of thing like Star Fox, but I'm not sure. I have only a very vague recollection of it.
There can't be that many games like it from way back then so someone should know about it...
Also, I have another game I played in Elementary School in the 90s... It may be impossible to pinpoint though cause I can't give a good enough description other than it was a fighting game, a very addictive one, but it wasn't any of the more well known games like Street Fighter, Killer Instinct, or whatever. It was a Super Nintendo game that a friend let me borrow....

For a fighting game, could be Fatal Fury 1/2/Special or Art of Fighting. Was it just usual setting, or anime/past/future/whatever?
It isn't 3D but the first description reminds me of Edono Kiba:

Your fighting game can be many titles: Fighter's Story, Power Athlete, Weaponlord, Power Instinct, Super Variable Geo, etc...SNES has a lot of obscure fighters.

I really can't say for sure. It definitely was not colorful like Street Fighter or MK, but it felt more western like MK. I guess Killer Instinct could be a good example of how it looked... it had a very dark aesthetic to it but I don't remember anything else about it.

It doesn't play like this does it?

ahhh, yeah that's exactly how I remember the 3d ninja game... on rails, a lot of jumping...
for some reason i thought the ninja character himself had a black getup and was a small size, like a chibi character instead of an adult like in this video, but that oculd just be my memory being weird.
but yeah, as far as gameplay goes, that's exactly how I remember the game...

That's pretty vague, doesn't sound like any game I know of. I suggest you watch this video rundown of SNES fighters then https://youtu.be/WVzEBPs8Q7w

maybe you got it mixed up with shinobi or gaiden
hey guys, want another game to Identify?
PC game for windows 98/95, the player is a teddy bear sprite and moves around on a topdown grid in real time. weapons are a sword, and eventually a shield. Main enemies I can remember are ghosts. Gameplay resembled a zelda clone, only with linear level progression

hmm, of all the games I can think of that were shown, Weapon Lord seems to resemble it the most... but I only have a vague memory to compare it and nothing solid. So it might not be it...
