This. Want to sell it but i have no idea of its worth because i can't find any like it(CK). Its two 5 1/2 floppies.
$3 for both
>>3777880
I'd blow her cartridge if you know what I mean
now i just need to pick up some friends
I'm about to head to the flea market shortly. I probably won't find anything, but here's to hoping I do.
>>3777967
I am so jealous. I want that game, but I cannot afford it.
Well, this is one of the things I recently got. Still have to pick up a SD card. Also, how's the prices for the 3D-printed trays for this?
>>3777872
Who was the utter madman maverick who resold that to you?
>>3777872I only buy loose Genesis games because I don't have room to display the cases
I know some of this isn't retro but whatever. GBA is old enough to drive, it should be retro at this point.
Landstalker, Wonderboy and Fire Emblem are CIB.
>>3778390
Only cost me $36.99 + shipping.
I don't like having to remove the CD assembly. Rather have something like this plugged into the cartridge expansion slot, communication connector, or where the VCD plugs.
>>3778362 here. Just got back from the flea market. I actually managed to find something today and it was a pretty good deal. I got all the N64 games for $23. They're a bit dirty, but I bet they will still work after a bit of cleaning. The other two came from a game store, but I got them essentially free off of some trade-ins. I got some non-retro stuff too, but that doesn't go here.
I just picked up a bentley compu-vision, 2 station wagon-lookin' ass atari 2600s, and 2 of them small 2600s, 2 sega genesis controllers(1 6 button and 1 3 button) along with the cables and cords for a genesis(but not a genesis), douk nukem 3d, and a ton of atari controllers all for about $25.25
I have no idea if any of them work though
>>3778773
jealous, I've never been able to find a 2600Jr model
I just got my childhood back from my older brother. He had my ps1 and ps2 games in storage in his house for like 10 years and we both forgot about it. I'll take a pic of all the games in my next post. I've already started playing the games so I know the ps2 slim I have functions still and the memory cards are still working. What is the general lifespan of ps1 era tech (games and memory cards mostly). I still have my old CRT so I can play legit and am loving life again, /v/ can go fuck themselves.
>>3778810
You really don't have anything to worry about unless you have third-party memory cards. Those tend to be a bit flaky.
>>3778861
Nice. I wanted to play on my original hardware as much as possible. All I need are component cables for the PS2 into the CRT. I can make due with RGB.
>>3778810
Here's the PS1 games. I know the green labels are shamefur dispray. The unlabeled game is FFIX, all disks, manual, just no leaflets.
>>3778796
one of them's beat up pretty bad and the other probably doesn't work so I dunno
also of note, my PS1 that I paid $16 including shipping for came in and it turns out that it is in fact a modded ps1
p neat
>>3778912
Nice. You've got some pricey games in there. It's a good thing you didn't have to buy them all back.
>>3778940
Wait til I post the PS2 games and talk about what got stolen back in the day (by a guy that got SJW'ed into being a woman now).
>>3778912
Give me those Legends games. Now.
>>3778810
Here's part 1 of the ps2 games. The Devil May Cry games were the trilogy box set and someone stole 3. The Metal Gear games were part of a trilogy too, MGS1 is actually a PS1 game in a nice PS2 case. I'm playing through Romancing Saga right now since I never beat it.
>>3778810
Part 2 of the PS2 games. I really like jrpgs. The Nocturne in this pic is the second time I bought it, as the first was stolen by the same thing that stole the DMC3 game (also took the memory card). The memory card and the games being stolen is why I stopped caring about gaming for a few years. Losing all those game saves (most unfinished) really killed something inside me.
>>3778953
Never. I only ever beat Tron Bonne by the bare minimum so I gotta go back when replaying them and do the run right.
>>3778982
Nice selection of Megaten games.
>>3778994
There was some other crappy swag in the storage box. The caligraphy thing for Okami, some coin for Super Mario Galaxy, and a few MegaTen soundtracks.
>>3778667How does Lost in Shadow play? Also, FE Sacred Stones is challenging and fun.
Did you have to pay a lot for those? I heard that SMRPG, Turtles in Time and Landstalker were highly sought after games.
>>3778051
This is the honest reason why i don't play mutiplayer competitive games.
Feels bad
>>3777872
This guy here. I'm seriously amazed by the great quality of it, though. 154 games, each one different, including some games with saving feature, such as Zelda 2 and Earthbound.
>>3779024
Lost in Shadow is a puzzle platformer. I've yet to play it, but it's an intriguing Wii oddity.
I paid about 50 each for TMNT and Super Mario RPG and about 40 for Landstalker. The SNES games were pricey but they were some of the last classics I needed for the system, so I decided to bite the bullet and picked them up.
What other games should I get????
>>3779412
Warlords. And I hope you really didn't pay $2.69 for Space Invaders. Common as shit 2600 games aren't worth more than 50 cents at the most.
Not really an acquisition, but I finally repaired a Megadrive that was gathering dust on my shelf for two years.
Practically all clock lines on it needed to be re-traced, and the main oscillator replaced.
It runs wonderfully stable now, despite the internals looking pretty awful (had to raise a bunch of pins).
>>3777872
>>3778051
Just find your nearest Melee/Smash 4 group. Should be especially easy if you live near a university. People there will probably be happy to play Smash 64 with you.
>>3778982
Whoa, the guy on the Devil Summoner 2 box looks a lot like Daigo Umehara.
>>3778051
I'll play with you anon
You wanna go halfsies on a pizza?
And I'm bringing my own controller so i don't have to use your shitty madcatz!
>>3778667
well what did you pay?
>>3778763
I haven't played the ARMY MEN games since like 99 2000 when they came out but I do remember them being entertaining.
>>3778912
Well again, how much did you pay?
>>3777872
Here's what I picked up the other day at the thrift store but I found some more goodies today that I'll put together and snap a picture.
>>3780165
Picked this stuff up today at a few different places but the PS2 multi tap is missing the little removable dvd remote. I just got home and had a chance to try out the original PS2 dvd remote on it but I doubt it'll work but that's ok bc I only paid 2 bucks.
>>3779412
Dragonfire, man. I loved it as a kid and it's still pretty fun today.
>>3778810
Good for you buddy. I too am playing old stuff on a CRT for the first time in 10 years or better and games feel new again
>>3778773
and here's all the ataris+the compu-vision
also the bag of sega genesis controllers
>>3781358
Just because they aren't worth more than 50 cents doesn't stop people from charging more than that. The store I got charges $2 a piece for 2600 games. I've never bought any there because I have a ton as it is and never play them.
I'm looking at getting Links Awakening DX. A lot of copies on ebay don't have the offical nintendo seal on the cartridge, but some do. Are the ones without the seal bootlegs?
>>3779495
Where did you learn to buy?
$23
That sticker is not coming off sunset riders without the cart label. fuck the business that did that.
I cannot find nes/snes stuff in the wild anymore..it sucks..
>>3782278
same i never find cartridges anymore unless its in a pawnshop but i dont usually go there. Where i live it isnt garage sale weather yet so its been slow
>>3780165
what is that toy?
>>3778912
I'm so glad I got the Mega Man Legends games back in the day close to their release. Didn't even pay full price, I got them in a bargain bin at Blockbuster. Ah, the memories.
>>3779078
I got one of these, too. Very good quality and premium selection of games.
Got these at a con yesterday. They were the only games I could find that I was interested in and had a decent price.
I mean, there were other good games around, but all common stuff that I already have.
>>3780156
This is probably the greatest valentines day card I've ever seen.
Should be getting a copy of Descent 2 sometime this week.
>>3782612
>Got these at a con yesterday
Wouldn't happen to have been at the swap in Guelph, Ontario, no? I was there yesterday and got like 1 game
>>3782278
My dad put black tape on my wario land 3 game, I pulled it and is fucked
>>3783191
Oh man we should totally make a Vday thread - I need ideas for cards. (Other than the VGcats strip)
>>3782590
Favorite MegaMan games hands down bruh
>>3783547
Nope, sorry. I live in Europe.
>>3782332
I'm not really sure, it's a mis mosh of different Nintendo figues, some say 2007 and some 2014 but the Mario land connector pieces is a make your own level kinda set.
There are a few really really tiny figured that I can't find any dates on. It was a thrift store that just threw anything Mario into the same bag.
>>3782130
underrated post
Got in some PC Engine games: two RPGs and a murder-mystery adventure
>>3787580
Megami Paradise!
I got the OVA on laserdisc.
>>3787607
The game'll be my first contact with the franchise but might be fun to pick up the OVA too
>>3787607
I'm always surprised to discover just how many things came out on Laserdisc.
I always just bundle it with obscure formats like Beta and HD-DVD in my mind, but it was really prominent in comparison.
The Oracle games and Soul Blazer came from eBay, but I got the other five from craigslist for $25
>>3787735
I love Soul Blazer
Such a great game
>>3787742
Right? I never beat it as a kid so I'm hoping to change that now.
>>3787818
I rented it as a kid, managed to get to the last boss, and found it too hard. Someone else had left a save in another save slot in front of the last boss with their character at much higher level than mine, so I ended up beating it with that.
Now I want to play this again.
musha bootleg and sexy puzzle fighter II x, and now i am broke...
Last November I bought some used PS1 memory cards and one of them was a Pocketstation
https://warosu.org/vr/thread/S3632960#p3634360
Now I finally got something to load games onto it. This Pocket Muumuu game is basically a Pocketstation game collection disc.
>>3789873
>>3789873
picked up this box of games but he charging me 100 bucks so I finally got him down to 90.
Just need a controller now, is the Tomee brand any good?
>>3790019
Also got this but I need and adapter to play
>>3790013
What a bunch of junk. You got ripped, bro.
Is this the Rhea? I'm tempted to get one but I don't like the idea of no GUI
>>3777872
One of pic related for my zx spectrum 48k
>>3790013
I would've paid maybe 10 bucks for all of that shit.
>>3790073
already sold a fester quest and the karate kid for 10 bucks so I'll make my money back in no time
>>3777872
Poor OP, you fell for the streets of rate 2 is good meme
>>3790123
it is good, just not more than 5 dollars good
>>3790123
>>3790129
>>3790121
They only sold because they're AVGN meme games. You won't unload the rest as easily.
>>3790260
Well, he has Winter Games, but that episode isn't as popular.
I found this on CL last year. It may have been a troll, but the story was it was someone cleaning out their grandsons room. They also had Pocky and Rocky 2.
Anyone ever find something crazy good like this before?
>>3790458
I'm gonna say that ad is fake. I swear I've seen an anon post that picture on /vr/ before, part of his collection or some shit
>>3790260
wrong i already sold the doubles and made 50 bucks to a guy down the hall
>>3790019
What's the deal with that SMB3 Label?
>inb4 not retro

>>3777934

>>3790874

>>3782278
>Sunset Riders
My buddy refuses to sell that game to me. Still mad.
>X-Men 1 and 2
Those are classics, X2 is still one my favorite games for the Genesis, that cold open in Siberia was amazing.
>Batman Forever
Why?
>>3777872
Ive just got an atari 400 new in the box. from my brother but I plug it in and no light comes on. i havnt hooked it to my tube tv yet as it uses the two prong connectors that suck....is it just broke? it looks as if it has NVER been used. Im confused and the manual sucks...and youtube vids always skip over the actual wiring of the unit....
>>3790814
It's the Brazilian Playtronic version.
>>3777872
Recently got a decent condition mario arcade machine for $100. It's the original 1982 one, great piece for my collection.
>>3790458
Bruh, I made that ad after finding those pictures here. Wanted to see how many people really were lurking the KC craigslist.
>>3779412
Keystone Capers, motherfucker. Also Kaboom. Ooh, and Barnstomers. And maybe River Raid.
>>3790013
>some entitled shit thinks a box of 25 crap NES games is worth $100
>another dipshit actually pays $90
>and sells individual carts off for 10 bucks to some other dipshit.
It's like a fucking carnival of morons.
>>3779412
Pitfall, Q*Bert, Super Breakout. Combat and Warlords are great if you have a friend..
>>3791261

I don't see a stupid questions thread on here, so i hope this is ok.
Could anyone tell me if a nintendo 64 with games is worth a straight up trade for a SNES with all three donkey kong country's?
My n64 games include Majoras mask, doom 64, and super mario 65 with 7 other games like turok one and 2.
Starting my foray into Dragon Quest Monsters.
I picked this one because you play as a cute girl.
>>3791842
Seeing as the N64 is shit and the SNES isn't I'd call that an excellent trade.
Wish I could find a similar mongoloid to swap with but I have nothing crap to begin with.
Came with the UGC but printed the insert myself
>>3791847
Apparently there was some sort of DQ card game at the time because it came with a card for it
>>3791842
I think it all depends on whether or not it's worth it to you. Do you no longer want your N64 and really want an SNES with Donkey Kong Countrys? I mean, are you just collector scum looking to make the best monetary deal? Just check prices on ebay and do the math yourself. SNES games in general are pricier than N64, but Mario and Zelda are always worth a lot of money. Kinda depends what the other 7 games are. They might be worth 2 bucks a piece, or they might be worth 40.
Personally, while the SNES has a larger, better library in general, I think Majora's Mask alone is a better game than all three DKCs together.
Found this at local game store, very happy i sidnt have to pay ekike prices
>>3791730
Collecting these days is fucking stupid. I don't even know why I still bother. Too materialistic, I guess.
>>3791730
You're just mad I made money
>>3792180
If I only had friends I would get one :(
>>3792193
ill be your friend
>>3778390
is that ZIF to microsd?
>>3791875
>PAL
Been buying lots of 6 gen system games lately, I'm hoping to change that tomorrow, I think the only recent retro games I bought were Maken X, Yoshi's Island, and Rising Zan. I've been meaning to look for Conker, but fuck I haven't been able to run into for a while. I also see Castlevania Legacy of Darkness for $40, I've been wanting it for a while but fuck I think it's$10-$15 too high, same with Rocket Robot On Wheels which was $28~ at one of my favorite vidya stores.
I have the money for them, but damn it hurts paying that much, maybe my mind is still set to 4-6 years ago on N64 game prices, but still. I'll probably look out for some PS1 or Genesis games too, last week I found King's Field for $40 but passed, if it's still there I might make the purchase.
>>3792640RISING ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANSAMURAI GUNMAN
>>3792649
No joke, spent $1.99 on it, nearly brand new. Such a goofy fun game.
>>3792663JOHNNY NOOOO MOOOOORE
Today's pick up. A Golden Axe CiB in great shape for $20. That's not all tho.... It also came with....
>>3793687
An Altered Beast poster! Thing is pristine. I'm thinking about framing it. Whoever owned this game/poster really took care of their shit. I would track them down and give them a hug but they did cut the tab on game case which is unforgivable. Should be punishable by death but I don't make the laws ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>3793694
they look better without the tab
>>3782278
That's a great deal. Sunset Riders and the X-Men games are great, although X1 can be a bit retarded. X2 is a blast.
>>3793723
>Looks better without the tabs
Sry anon, but we can never be friends.
>>3791002
Sadly, XMen 2 isnt working, but i am getting some copper contact cleaner tomorrow to hopefully fix the pins. Took the case off and no other visual issues.
XMen one was a game I had back with my first genesis. decent + nostalgia.
>Batman Forever
>Why?
I just wanted to buy up the dudes genesis stuff, ive dealt with him before and im trying to get some renown and..if he's ever looking to drop stock I can get better prices. Hes got a stand hes closing in the middle of this crazy mexican flea market. Has like 12 64s he's trying to unload for 40$ each..or he'll cut me a deal if I want to buy ALL of them
>>3778803
>>3792446
It's what it says on the board dingus
>>3794753
actually it's the other way around.
>>3794901
what is?
More soundtracks for the soundtrack library
>>3792569
And that's a problem how? Not everyone here is a burger you know.
Also it's called MegaDrive, not Genesis
>>3795721
>PAL
Got these this week, was pretty good!
>>3795910
Also gamecube is retro right???
Just in case it's not, I also snagged this today
>>3777872
Helping my Mom clean her garage today and came across these in an old box full of vhs tapes. They're just empty boxes but I still have most of these games except for CBFD and Lttp which were stolen. I'm pretty stoked.
>>3795954
>Robotech
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE CARL MACEK GET THE FUCK OUT
>>3795990
I know. But at the time this was released I was starving for anything even remotely mecha related, plus it came with a cute little SD Valkyrie, I mean err, Varitech. The GBA game is shit but the PS2 one is ok but neither are retro so I'll just stop talking about them now.
>>3796004
>varitech
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Do books about retro gaming count?Already had the Unofficial guide, the history book I just got today
Two fancy looking Lunar games. I didn't know these editions existed so it was a nice find.
>>3796027
Nice. Are they complete with the cloth map, Lucia's pendant, etc? I always liked how the books were hard bound, they look very nice.
>>3796035
I'm not sure. Like I said, I don't know anything about these editions so I don't really know what's supposed to be in there. There's a pendant, but there doesn't seem to be any cloth map.
>>3795954
< Jealous
>>3796027
I thought only those editions existed lol
>>3795920Lake Worth?
>>3796247
I put it up on a facebook group so if you've seen it then that answers your question :P
>>3779412
demon attack, battlezone and/or robot tank, and I like pole position 2600 despite it being super barebones
>>3796058
Lunar 1 came with a cloth map and art book. Lunar 2 came with a ton of shit. The map was only paper, though.
>>3796195
The only US PS1 versions were the complete collections. The Sega CD versions didn't have any extras.
>>3796452
How much did you pay for them?
>>3796452
I see, thanks. I think I've got everything from Lunar 2, but I'm missing the cloth map and the third disc from Lunar (the soundtrack CD, if I'm not mistaken).
>>3796538
Alright, it was the soundtrack then. Sucks it's gone missing, but better that than a game disc.
Working Designs was a hell of a publisher.
