Will we finally get perfect N64 emulation?

My original console emulators N64 games pretty well. Also:

>>3777478
Not retro?
Go post that on all the other emulation threads you fucking idiot.
>>3777437
Too early to say.

Just get a real n64
People are just rushing to sell all their n64 shit right now
Unrelated but the no-intro n64 rom set links seem to be down on google. Do I really have to sign up to Archive.org to download it?
Nintendo haven't figured out how to build a one-for-all emulator in 20 years, what makes you think they'll do it now?
>>3777573
You should be signed up anyway, that place is a fucking goldmine for retro.

>Will we finally get perfect N64 emulation?
What's wrong with the Virtual Consoleexcluding its selection?
>>3777437
One day, but not today.
Just use a real N64 + flash cart anyways.
Project 64 needs to be taken out the back and shot like old yeller, feels like everyone sticks with it because it has been around so long, but it feels unsalvegable at this point.

All the actual devs left the project around 2006, none of the current crop knows what the fuck to do with all the code besides add more spyware. Mupen is coming along at least, give it a couple more years and it should be good to go. PJ64 will stay relevant for a while thanks to almost all rom hacks being developed for it though.

>People are just rushing to sell all their n64 shit right now
Why? N64 was their best console.
>>3779549
It works OK in my opinion, but yeah, it's been out for a while.

mupen64 shits on it
>>3777774
>N64 has no games
>>3777774
inaccurate emulation.
>>3777573
Just use 10minutemail and make a throwaway account
>>3782669
That's mostly to do with compensating LCD HD Luma, it'll look darker if you just take the raw file but on a tv it's irrelevant especially when tvs have brightness settings anyway
>>3782669
>>3780261
Nothing about it is accurate, but it werks gud, so most people use it.
Thats ok for playing games, but it's a problem when most all romhacks and hombrew is developed on PJ64, leading to none of them working on actual hardware.
Furthermore, the remaining "devs" have been running it into the ground since 1.7, between adding adware, nagware, and generally stalling.

You could turn up the brightness to your hearts content and it still wouldn't fix the shitty texture filtering and swashed out color palette.
>>3785254
look at the HUD textures, the star icon in particular. it's clearly not just a brightness issue lol
