I'm looking for a game that I played on pc 10-15 years ago that I couldnt remember the name... It was probably made long before then (latest around 2003? and probably made in 1990s?)
The graphic is similar to that of starcraft1's
The game is in real time(not turn based) and resembles RTS

However, it has no "sandbox" mode from what i remember and only story mode, where there are already characters on the map and you are trying to complete a certain mission, with limited units (I think they are characters from the story) (That means the player cant produce units, nor can the AI)
I dont recall there being any cartoon, nor the pictures being obviously pixelized.. I do remember most of the artstyle can be described as "similar to starcraft"

I remember that after each mission, one is able to upgrade their characters, which most lies on the same upgrade path that starts off from:
A base ground ranged unit that can eventually become a melee, flight, ground ranged oriented model, which most of these can be later upgraded to different, more advanced variations, (Except i remember that the flight model has only one path)

I remember that after the first mission, there is a character on a motorcycle, a character that is already in the basic flight model, a character that is already in the basic melee model, a robot with female appearance that has its own unique upgrade path, and the rest few are in basic unit models

Because i was too young back then I didnt pay attention to the story line, or any worded detail of the game, such as name or year it was made...
I spent alot of time looking it up sometimes and i have not yet found a single trace of it...
Regardless, thanks for your attention and please let me know if any of you has any idea of what game this is?
Let me know if you all has any questions, I will do my best to answer whether it is related to my post or not @_@

Here is a picture of starcraft 1 i found on google
Thanks all!
>>
wow i didnt know my post was this long...
>>
Oh I forgot to mention but I played it in window xp
>>

original war?
>>
Hmm I dont think so~
The game felt more sci-fic than that
To the point where I dont see helicopters and the characters fights with mechanical suits.. by what i meant flight is also, in the game, with mechanical suits I think..
The robot humanoid character is also the same size as other characters
Im not sure if it is in a dystopia setting but from what I recall it can be...
>>
And there werent that many characters compared to what I found from looking up original war~....
and by mechanical suits, I dont meant robot, I meant like suits~, so they dont fight in robot models in the game, the units size are still human size in game, except for the char with the motorcycle...
>>
War Wind perhaps?

Hmm I dont think so~
The game graphic was much less pixelized and much closer to that of starcraft 1's
In addition, I dont recall there being aliens @_@
And the last time I played, it wasnt in english, it was in chinese, but likely translated from some other place...
Thanks all for your help regardless
But i really wish to play the game again XD
>>
>>3777579
Considering that the graphic is similar to that of starcraft, and that when I first remember playing it, red alert was already out.. It is much more likely that it's in late 1990s or early

>an old game that I cant find
>blogs about how he can't remember what game it is.
No wonder you can't find it champ. You gots to remember what it's called before you have much chance of finding it.

For extra credit: If you use a word, especially a simple word like "find", use it the way other people do. If you use it the way the voices in your head do you're fucked. Most of us can't hear the voices in your head.

I don't know if I have already mentioned it in the post but I won't be here if I can remember the name ^_^
Wouldnt have so much trouble finding it the first place if I known half of a word of what it's called ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ
I don't even remember the year it was made
I understand your point of view and I have tried to find it myself many times before~ but again, like I said in the post, I couldn't find a trace of it... I was just hoping that I would encounter someone that might have played the same game and can help finding the name, etc
All I have are in-game details which doesn't seem to help on google when I can't describe concisely in few words ~
If there is another search engine that can really help please let me know :D
I understand that people has never play the game I'm seeking for is unlikely to able to find it. as a result, I wasn't hoping anything from them, or you~
Regardless, thank you for your comment though, which showed me a viewpoint that previously didn't foresee at all~^_^
>>
>>3778130
Hmm, I don't think so~ I don't recall the characters being able to equip items. I also remember that the map was somewhat filled up and the characters are dull in color (mostly in gray), depending on their 'model', or where they are at in their upgrade path? Characters with the same model literally looks the same in game... sadly I can't remember anything about then interface neither...
DESU I feel really bad for everyone trying to help but I don't feel like I'm giving anything back... if you all have any questions, whether related to this post or not, feel free to ask and I will try to help if I can :D

Dark Reign: Rise of the Shadowhand ?

>>3778172
Don't worry.
The sleuths here are really helpful and don't often fail.
>>
>>3776912
Dark reign, Libertion day or Fallen haven. those would be my 3 picks for "games similar to starcraft before 2000".
>>
>>3777940
Though I have looked at wiki list a bit before, I feel like I should try spend more time surfing it, thanks for bringing it up :D>>3777940

They do. I get paid $750 an hour to help millennials integrate into the business/real world. The "my definition of x is" shit doesn't fly when the definition has already been agreed after countless meetings and detailed by lawyers in documents. Not to mention what's in the fucking dictionary.
There's a reason silicon valley is chalk full of Indians who can't really do much aside from follow simple instructions while you protest the use of non-organic soy milk for hipster caffes. You may not appreciate what I do. But the people paying your benefits do.

>>3778161
Perhaps if you spent more time trying to describe the game than you did on deciding the best emoticons to end each sentence with you'd have better luck?
>>
>>3778323
For that price, I hope your work advice has more value than the zero you've exhibited here.

>there are already characters on the map and you are trying to complete a certain mission, with limited units (I think they are characters from the story) (That means the player cant produce units, nor can the AI)

sounds like "Sudden Strike" or "Commandos"
>>
>>3778323
I wish I did spent more time choosing emoticon than describing the game but as you can see from the long paragraphs I wrote that's most of what i remember, not implying they are in the best, most accurate way though @_@
>>3778197
As for those 3 games I looked them up, sadly they arent... :'( but i meant the graphic was similar to starcraft... but the gameplay, I dont recall I could ever built unit or buildings...
>>3778463
the graphic of commandos and sudden strike feels really close, but i dont recall it to be able to control that many units (suddenstrike), nor does the character look like they are from modern military?
>>
>>3776912
That game is called Starcraft
>>
Maybe my description was a bit mis-leading... In that game there are no spaceships and anything and I dont recall being able to produce units.. But the game is in real time and I do get to control multiple units at the same time
So perhaps RTS and sci-fic may not be the most accurate word above
And perhaps post apocalypse or dystopia is a better word...
However, I do remember that the enemies im fighting against people in the story, not mutants or zombies...
Regardless I will also spend some time digging through that wiki list>>3777940 mentioned
>>
>>3778353
There's a reason I'm hired by employers to whip millennials into shape and not by the millennials who see zero value in anything other than their own social media pages.
>>
>>3779040
I wish :'(
Im starting to doubt if the game was even made in USA....
Because , again, the first time played it, and the times I have ever played it was when i was in china, and i think it was in chinese...
So it is either a chinese game, or translated
Moreover, when I first play it, it was in the early 2000s, but defin not as late as 2005?, but i just think it is likely that it is made before then..
>>
I also dont recall there being tanks or helicopters @_@
so it feels kind of futuristic when people are all in battle suits besides that one char in motorcycle..Especially one is a robot @_@
>>
>>3777940
I've look through the whole list and click through every single one that goes in the category sci fic but has not find anything related @_@
Either I somehow missed it or It was not on there
Maybe due to the reason that the game doesnt produce unit, nor does it have many units, it goes in the category of rpg? However, I do recall the game play being able to control multiple units and is in real time~
But the game

Maybe Deathlock: Planetary Conquest?

I have the feeling you're misremembering stuff. I've never heard of a game that fits your description.
>>
>>3779252
Millennials wouldn't even pirate it, let alone pay for it. They're totally unaware that they need help until their boss forces them into it. It's just another type of training. Like learning how to scan a document instead of snapping a selfie if you holding it.

Im looking for a game, its an older (maybe 2000) game, in medieval style, first person look, the game starts with you prisoned in the medieval castle prison, you have nothing in your hands, you can only hear the guard snoring sleeping, and there is weak cracked brick wall on your cell which you use to escape, you can pick up a lot of stuff almost all objects you find (like wooden spoons, bowls, torches etc.) please help me
>>
>>3780164
Seems like Arx Fatalis to me...
>>
Since we're at it.
Back in the late 90's my dad had installed a casino game on our Windows 98 PC. I remember it having midis of classical music and waltzes as BGM, baccarat and blackjack tables, and having to navigate a virtual casino by clicking on rooms. The main screen was a large hall, with a central marble/silver staircase that split in two. Try as I might the only name that comes to mind is Avalon Casino, which is not the game I'm looking for.

Anyone remembers something?

Im afriad that the game doesnt go into rts category then...
Because as I can remember, constructing units wasnt part of the game and the game play is like mission by mission... so there is no overall big map..
There is indeed a possibility that i might have misremembered something @_@ but regardless I dont recall the game ever being very famous or anything... and again last time i played it, it was probably in chinese when i was in china.. so .. it might not even be an english game or japanese game... but afterall im not sure @_@ XD
Thank you all for your help regardless XD
