All three games are difficult but not because good game design but because how cheap they are.

i always hated the chests system in Super, because it literally forces you to memorize all the locations you have to step.

Genesis/Mega Drive has the best cover by far.

Goblins (arcade) is still objectively the best. Don't bother with the NES port.

Ghouls would be fine if not for that dull vertical autoscrolling level.

Super takes Ghouls' problem and amps it up to 11. Also, lots of mode 7 gimmicks.

Ultimate Ghosts'n Goblins is my favorite game in the series by far.
Second place is a tie between the Snes and Genesis ones, both have their own strong points, so I can't decide.

Why use pictures of the console ports for Ghosts n Goblins and Ghouls N Ghosts? Ghouls N Ghosts on MD isn't a terrible port, but Ghosts M Goblins on NES is the drizzling shits.
