Hey /vr/, let's have a what are you playing right now thread.
Trying to perfect score everything.
I'm fucking comfy, lads.
Godzilla, Monster of Monsters.
Took me a bit to figure out what I was supposed to do when all the other kaiju are dead. And also that start is your special attack for some reason.
I just beat the first quest of LoZ, either going to do second quest or Adventure of link
>>3768226
PW64 is very challenging (and rewarding) when you try to get perfect scores.
What abour the extra missions?
>>3768350
Do Adventure of Link, and then come back for Second Quest, personally I think AoL is less difficult than second quest, and you should escalate the difficulty.
>>3768381
Sounds like a plan. When I was I kid I did all the console ones from SNES to GC, but I never finished majora's mask.
>>3768253
Jealous of at least 2 things in this pic, lookin' good buddy
>>3768253
I played through Secret of Mana the other day, was pretty fun. Was like 13 hours and I finished at level 70ish.
Then I saw some speedrunning guy going for a "100%" secret of mana, which included leveling to 99 all characters, level 8 all magic/weapons, best gear, etc the other day.
The way he did it seemed retarded and made me think I could do it better. Even without speedrunning strats just because it was so inefficient.

Nigga your vertical geometry is all fucked, look at that big black empty at the bottom.
Playing Legend of Dragoon on this bad boy.

Phenominal bait
Blast Corps!
I just started a new save and I'm trying to get gold and double gold on everything.
So far the only thing I don't have gold on yet is the Backlash tutorial level (.8 seconds off!).
>>3768217
Working on my Puyo combo building. It's all good times.
>>3769436
Good man. Blast Corps's a jam on jams. Backlash is fun but usually my weakest.
>>3768352
I have the P Class missions for hangglider and gyrocopter left. I did all of the extra missions except for that last cannon mission. I barely got gold, so I'm holding off on trying perfect.
>>3768253
What kind of TV are you using ?
>>3769808
It looks like a TV news monitor
>>3768217
Frogger for the PlayStation.
>>3769792
Yeah, I love the backlash because it's like Intial-D gone mad, but damn if it isn't frustrating to control sometimes.
Also, good job there with Pilotwings, how long did that take?
Rouge Leader andGravity Rush 2

Small 9" sony pvm.
Specifically a 8041Q
I was playing Alex Kidd in Enchanted Castle but I got fed up with going around in circles in the last level so I'm done for today.
Is there a trick to the janken or do I have to get lucky every time?
Not really ideal but the wife and i have been back and forth to the hospital the last few days.

I genuinely feel bad for some of you faggots.

>>3770701
He was baiting as well. That or he's an idiot who doesn't know how imageboards work. Probably both.
Just finished a playthrough almost 17 years after my first playthrough.
Not quite sure how I feel about the story if you can call it that. A step down from LTTP but still great for a gameboy game that came out in 1993.
I have very mixed feelings about it playing it a second time.
>>3769842
I think I've been playing PW for around a week. I got gold on everything, first, and now I'm shooting for perfects. I only have two left: the last photo hangglider level and the last cannon level. I got lucky on at least one of those skydiving ones. I was consistently getting, like, 75 points and then got 100 all of the sudden.
My EverDrive 64 came in, last night, so I distracted myself with Blast Corps and Snowboard Kids.

>Snowboard kids
I just picked up one of those cheapo super ufo pro 8 flash carts for my famicom. I'm pretty happy at how well it works(albeit it's pretty clunky).
Apparently it has support for special chips, but it only actually works when the game you're trying to emulate is in the top slot(To run a star fox rom you need to have a copy of star fox in the top). I guess I could buy cheapo copies of jap games to play them in english this way.
trying to beat Blazing Lazers on "super mania" difficulty

>this bad boy
It's bad all right.
Pic related. Just finished disc 1 Sunday night. Didn't like it at first, but now I'm really enjoying it. It's fun to play a game that's been so hyped for the past 20 years. The music, graphics and atmosphere are excellent, and the gameplay is solid. I know it's often the subject of a lot of shitposting simply because of how high-profile it is, but take it from me, someone who doesn't particularly care for JRPGs or Final Fantasy, this is a good game, and I can only imagine what it would have been like to play this for the first time back in 1997.
>>3769826
I remember this late '90s Frogger revival. The game came out across many systems with that same cover. My sister had the Game Boy version, I played it quite a lot, actually.
>>3768482
very nice anon, very nice, have a cigar
>>3771009
>buy cheapo copies of jap games to play them in english this way
actually sounds a good work around
>>3770625
I just started replaying this since I had never beat it (gave up around the tourney). I love everything about the game except the lack of analogue control. My thumbs hurt after 20 minutes of playing. There's something magical about PS1/PS2 era Capcom, they just made games so well.
>>3771307
>I love everything about the game except the lack of analogue control. My thumbs hurt after 20 minutes of playing.
Yeah, the old playstation D pads are kind of rough. Do you have a regular one, or just a dualshock? I have both, and for some reason, even after disassembling and cleaning them both, I find the original controller buttons are much softer to push. Far less pressure on the old thumb.

>>3768217
what model TV is that, anon?
>>3769436
Back in the day I had like most of the missions at gold but I was stuck at one of those lava levels at silver...just couldn't reach the damn gold. Then I realize it's fucking Platinum and I have to sink in another 10 hours into this madness. Great Game!
>>3768217
Playing Der Langrisser and the second Megami Tensei on my psp.
Was also replaying alone in the dark the new nightmare.
>>3771493
Let me know how the platinuming goes. I've folded every missions 3 or 4 times, but I don't think I've gotten more than three platinums, total. They're pretty damned brutal. I remember spending a couple hours trying to platinum the first level.
>>3771574
Golded every mission. Fuck.

Playing Recca
I'm in the process of moving everything around since I'm dying of cancer. Selling off everything basically except my essentials but I might want to be buried with my original NES my dad gave us Christmas 87.
>>3772710
recca on nes? wtf
>>3772717
It's a repro but I'll take it

I can't get myself to sell certain stuff, I've never sold anything throughout the years of collecting. I've lost stuff and let people borrow stuff that never came back but I find it very difficult to sell some games from childhood even if I never play them. After my brother died and I basically inherited all his stuff it got me to thinking about my collections and what will happen to them when I'm gone.
Actually kinda cool to think that the games and consoles will live on well after I'm dirt. I feel like I should donate them to the right people or something, I dunno I just feel kinda lost. This ends my tumblr blog.
