Level 5-3 was tailor made for the shoe. It would have been nice to have it in another level but it was just a cool thing that Mario 3 did so well. It had so many levels and even though some were short, each one had its own charm. Remember those creepy lights in the World 5 tower?

I heard Shoe was prototype Yoshi and going to be spread throughout the game, but they didn't have enough time to fully flesh out his character enough.
