It feels like this game doesn't have an ending. It just ends abruptly after Green's sacrifice. What about the Golden Siver form with the cape, the one on the fucking title screen? We see it in concept art too. And a sequence after that about the end of the empire and what happens to the Gunstar family. We didn't get any of that, it just kind of stops.

Jaleco is the master of conistently not-great-but-good.

Gunstar Super Heroes is a sequel, story-wise. The opening explains the events of the first game, and says it happened a long time ago. All the characters are new people in a new age.

But now what's really fucking weird is that it just so happens that there's a bunch of people with the exact same names as everyone in the first game. There's a new Emperor Grey trying to resurrect Golden Silver after he was already killed after being resurrected in the first game by the first Emperor Grey.

It's REALLY fucking confusing, I have no idea what the hell they were thinking.
