Does anyone know if there's a simple way to know how much memory is being used in DosBox?

I made this simple DOS shell to launch games from, and I wanna optimize its memory use. It's fine for most games, but Duke Nukem II and Vinyl Goddess from Mars seem to chug a bit.

Use a batch file instead

Can't you use the MEM command?

That menu wouldn't be possible in a batch file.

It shouldn't matter because most DOS games worth playing use memory extenders.

Yes it would. You can do arbitrary code execution with PEEK and POKE statements :^)
