did the original ps1 have any first party support?
What you mean like SIE Japan Studio, Team Ico
and Polyphony Digital?
>>3728354
did team ico make any of their retarded ''games'' for ps1 ?
SIE?
polyPHONY?
List the games anon.
>>3728357
I've already named some of the first party support for the PS1, sorry you go fetch
ps1 was a decent console because sony didn't do jack shit to interfere. Sony is its own worst enemy.
>>3728362
so nothing then.
>>3728348
Turning SCPH-100X Playstations upside down is a meme.
You only need to turn it onto its side for the games to load.

Naughty Dog, Polyphony, SingleTrac, 989 Studios. I'd like to say Psygnosis but they made games on the Saturn too.
Sony had a great thing going with 3rd party companies who made games exclusive for the PS1. Single Trac, Namco, Square, and a bunch of other companies only created games for the ps1.

You turn them upside down for ventilation
>>3728373
>I'm a retard.
Good to know.
>>3728373
you're a fascinating brand of retard
>>3728373
What a retard
They had a bright future, but Sony killed them prematurely.
>>3728348
Yup.
>Polyphony Digital:
Motor Toon Grand Prix, Motor Toon Grand Prix 2, Gran Turismo, Gran Turismo , Omega Boost
>Japan Studio:
Ape Escape, The Legend of Dragoon
>Cambridge Studio
MediEvil, MediEvil 2, C-12: Final Resistance
I have no idea which studios did things like Blasto and Aconcagua
They eventually bought many second-party studios like Psygnosis (Studio Liverpool), Naughty Dog, Eidetic (Bend Studio) after funding, publishing or both many of their games (Crash Bandicoot, Syphon Filter, Colony Wars).
They've also published many games for the PS1, despite not ever owning the original developers like Spyro (Insomniac), Warhawk and Jet Moto (SingleTrac), Wild Arms, Crime Crackers and Gunners Heaven (Media Vision). Alundra and Alundra 2 (Matrix Software)
>>3728357
Weren't they technically second party?
>>3728369
A million times this. PlayStation revolutionized gaming then as early as PS2 started devolutionizing it.
>>3728431
>motor toon
lol wut
>GT
yeah, their only recognizable IP, I guess.
>Omega Boost
actual underrated game and possibly Polyphony's most interesting work, but still a small game that not even Sony cares about.
>Ape Escape
ok
>Legend of dragoon
Legend of who? Oh yeah, that one RPG that did nothing to stand on its own, *yawns*
>cambridge, naughty, etc
