Did you manage to snag an ultra hdmi? Do you already own one? Do you not care about it?
>>
too many people on this board have sunken costs fallacy towards the RGB mod
>>

I saw the RGB mod for the 64 and thought it still looked like complete shit. But once I saw the U HDMI I was convinced
>>
just go to goodwill and pick up a cheap crt. i don't care if you don't have room or if it is too heavy, even the most mediocre of crt televisions will give you a better, more authentic retro experience than some expensive ass hdmi mod.
>>
>>3724841
S-video on my fuckhueg CRT is good enough for me.

If I might consider getting one later on for future proofing though.

>implying I dont already own a BVM and max size CRT
>>
>bought Tim Worthington's N64 RGB mod recently
>spent an entire day soldering, resoldering, fucking around with cables and getting frustrated
>ordered the N64 RGB cable from RetroGameCables
>looks exactly the same as S-Video regardless of any display
Avoid the N64 RGB meme
>>
>>3724841
I'd like to, but I have a life and keep missing the tiny window I have to actually buy one. Why isn't this fucker mass producing them?
>>
>>3724879
Yeah, while I do enjoy Component input, it isn't even all that much better than S-Video on an older 480i CRT anyway. It looks great regardless.

>>3724864
This. So much this. Even shitty Composite looks better on an old CRT than fucking anything on a modern monitor.
