What is your retro game budget, be it per game or per span of time?
$3 each for retro or current games $1 each for 6th gen - or 20% of ebay value whichever is higher.
Suffice to say I haven't bought very many retro games in a while.
I don't like to go over $5 a game unless it's worth a lot more. Then it just depends on what the asking price is and how much I want the game.

I used to collect but when they wanted $159 for batman on Saturn I gave up and went to flashcarts/flash drives
Sold all my shit and haven't looked back
(And also haven't been happier)

$10 for a good game, $20 for a great game.
Most of what I buy is in the $5 range (Gameboy).
I do make exception on occasion though, like, I finally bit the bullet on getting a N64, so that was pretty pricey, but I got most of my new games for $12 or less, exceptions being Smash Bros and Mario Kart.
I try not to spend more than $100 on any given spree.

I don't really have a budget. I'll try to find deals though, some of the fun is the search but other times I just pay whatever I need to. I think my most expensive purchase was a snes or $70.00. It kind of balances out though because the other snes I bought was $10.00 and marked broken but it just had a loose ac connection.

so why did you pay 70 dollars for an snes...

For the past year? Zero.
It's not really worth it to buy video games, especially retro these days.
Hell, the last games I bought recently were Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 and thats because I let my bro take the 360 and I got the 360.
I have so many that it's not worth it to spend 60 bucks on anything. I can wait for inevitable price drops to 25 or less.
