I can't stand how anime it got with all the waifus and parents system complicating things more than it should.

Even the Seisen no Keifu wife system was better.

Funny you should say that, considering FE4 and FE5 were the last games to be developed by the original creator, Shozo Kaga. Afterward, he had some falling out with Nintendo and made Tear Ring Saga and Berwick Saga for the PlayStation consoles. I think he also did some freeware SRPG recently.

I must admit that I never cared about Brigid since she's an archer. FE archers man. The only thing they can counterattack are other archers or casters that can't get close.

FE11 has all the characters/chapters of the original in addition to support boosts like FE3(and they are more balanced as they need time to grow). Gaidens/reclassing are totally optional if you hate them that much, and caps are varied making it so that generals are less worthless. It is also a lot faster of an engine and has a better formation option. Axes exist(hey fighters can ACTUALLY PROMOTE) and non-mounts aren't locked to a single weapon type.

FE12 is more debatable as it was designed with stuff like dismounting in mind and the Prologue is forced, but stuff like support convos, faster game speed, shards not being growths based, and having the missing characters(even if the balance of them is poor) pushes it over the original. The loss of stuff like the Manakete mechanics and dragon weaknesses while having Marth's character getting thrown down the drain are a shame.

Finishing the arena is one of the few things you can do, or you can just plainly let her finish off wounded enemies and let Leen (with a Leg ring and Knight ring so she can run away as well) refresh her.


If you are playing unranked then there are more options, like waiting for reinforcements, cherry tapping the castle guards.

Once she promotes, staffing a tank while the tank is cherry tapping, or making her equip a sword, then attacking the castle guard as well but be careful, chances the castle guard can counter her and she might not dodge it.
