Only because every notable game is like $20-60 now. I long for the simpler days when you could get a small collection just for that. Those times were the best.

Only systems I collect for nowadays is Game Gear and Atari 2600 because they're so cheap right now. I've switched to flashcarts, and I just get the occasional game if it has some sort of special meaning to me.

By the way collecting in general is just fucked since AVGN started escalated every price in existence. 2010-ish is when it became unbearable. I feel bad for any recent collector. Probably the best system to collect for is the 2600 because it was popular enough to have a large library/cheap games, but too old for kiddies to like it.

As much as my heart wants to believe it I don't think that is 100% true. Maybe not when it was first being uploaded on Youtube but maybe when the kids that grew up on it got jobs to pay for those ASSGAMES.

Not a system, but it's not worth getting into the arcade and pinball collector markets. Prices have gotten insane, especially for pinball. Machines that cost less than a thousand in 2007 can go for $3000 now.
