Let's have a thread about the greatest PC racer of all time.
>8 cars
>24 tracks
>16-player LAN MP (works over Dosbox!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jmv2PCc8ppQ
>dynamic AI and teammate command system make every race different
>Kickin' rad dual format soundtrack by Neil Biggin (Top Gear 2, Loaded, Zool CD32, Newman-Haas IndyCar)
>Beautiful '90s menu aesthetics and early texture mapping
>Hilarious physics and detailed, nuanced car handling that's easy to pick up but takes skill to survive.
>tons of game-effect cheats and several bonus cars with special abilities
>programmed in 8 months by a small, dedicated team and finished in October, 1995.
any /vr/tuaroids still play this magnificent game?
>tfw bonus 3
so despite coming out in 1995 the game actually runs at a 16:10 aspect ratio and thus some of these recordings look like ass
The game's tracks were slightly tamed before release. This is the original Death Drop with the huge hole in the track for which it is named, not present in the final game.
You can take this track's files from the Fatal Racing demo version and drop it into the full game (Whiplash or Fatal Racing)
And here's a bonus car: Vranic. It can turn sections of road ahead of it to ice.
