There's missing frames in that webm. Here's a better version. Also, I really wish the video codec used for these games (Lucid Motion) had a decoder or some shit. I'm the guy who posted the EVE webms and I had to play through the whole game to record them because, unlike Desire, EVE (or its PC version, at least, but that doesn't matter since the Saturn version uses Cinepak anyway) doesn't have a gallery.

Is it really? I'm not terribly familiar with the RTS genre, but from the few gameplay videos I've seen it looks very pedestrian and incredibly slow paced. Not to mention how weak the graphics are for 5th gen.

But then again, it could be just the introductory stages I was watching.

It has a lot of customization options on your mechs, a ton of characters all with animated portraits and voices, and reasonably interesting missions as I recall. The graphics are at a high birds-eye view so units are small, but I don't remember them looking bad. It's been a long time since I played it though.

I see. Interesting to hear from someone who has actually played the game.

Regardless, I still feel it would have been better off as an OVA series because despite whatever good qualities it may have, it was definitely doomed to fail in a market filled with such heavy competition. 1997 just had way too many great games to invest in and the best Quo Vadis 2 has to offer is undeniably its beautifully animated cutscenes which are criminally compressed to fit Saturn disc size.
