--- general Prism thread?

what's RTC? Gonna try Prism on my ez flash cart for the gba.

Real Time Clock -- the EDGB and EZFlash don't have one so the time is stuck in the game. This patch works around this by making the time advance in game much faster to compensate for time "not passing" when the cart is not in use.

Fret not, have posted there too :| -- I am playing on real hardware and this patch is for those doing too, so this belongs here on /vr/ just as much.

Real Time Clock
>>3695914
Most flashcarts that are still working on GBA don't have a clock. This really only effects Pokemon.

Brits not wanted.
Back to /int/ where you belong.
Prism is beyond a doubt the best romhack I've ever played. The amount of effort that went into the game is quite obvious, and it's proven to be much better than any official Pokemon game.
That said, literally what is the point of this patch? If you're not using RTC, you're missing out on a lot in this hack.

Like what?
>>3695981
If you don't have an RTC, time doesn't advance in the game at all. This patch fixes that as well as making time faster so you don't have to literally wait to the evening to access night areas.
>>3695984
do I have to apply the RTC patch on pokemon prism rom or a crystal rom?
>>3695991
On Prism. It's this way to avoid accusations of "distributing" Prism itself.
