I say Eadric of Tudoria
>>3692094
Fun fact: Tordin in the PC version has Erven as its ruler, but in the SNES version it's princess Gweyn.
And yeah, Eadric seems the most legit for the throne.
guys I haven't played this game in over ten years I think
give me tips/wish me luck
this is a good starting scenario for first time player right
>>3692471
haha ignore that I had lard smeared all over my screen for some reason
>>3692094
>>3692482
Cousins, maybe?
Also, who does this sprite art? It's great.
>>3692094
I member being 14 and being addicted to this game. I played more of Genghis Khan 2 (SNES) and Brigandine (PSX). I think Pasha the dinosaur deserves the throne.
I'd challenge you to a game if that was possible.

You should check out Celtic Tales: Balor of the Evil Eye on DOS. It has a learning curve. I've never gotten into it. I played about five minutes before getting destroyed.

Wait, Garth was pretty cool. So him.
>>3692094
Koei made this? What? Is it similar to RoTK and Nobunaga's Ambition?
>>3692521
Yes

Oh man get rekt holy shit this game is cake
>>3692574
I seriously thought she'd be the hardest scenario but the Gunners she can buy at the start just destroy everything
>>3692628
>Try Brigandine Grand Edition on Hardest with Esgares. Enjoy the end boss.
I already did, Grand Edition has some balance crimes, like the way that it's almost certain to give you class change items for monsters you have, or the fact that just like regular edition, you can prevent the loss of any and all territory at all times just by ordering one unit to attack each surrounding enemy territory and having them retreat at the start of your "attacking" phase.
Most RotTK games are harder.
Gemfire is like a easy baby mode version of RotTK
also
>Implying you couldn't just march to the corner and abandon terrritories no matter who you started with
>>3692628
>With Esgares
I beat the regular version with Esgares, it was very tight because you barely have enough characters to defend the borders.
>>3692714
Unless you just take all your guys and march on that level 1 prince who barely puts up any fight, then just circle the continent clockwise letting some other goober worry about trying to hold the middle
>>3692714
Regular version is easy on hard. AI is dumb and retreats to much. On GE at least the End Boss is tough.
>>3692657
Play Balor and motivate me to get into it. Looks like a KOEI tactics game.
>>3692798
My strategy was take the borders from Norgard and march all the way to Leonia, and settle the Empire there, leaving the starting territories behind, then start my conquest from there.
Leonia starts the game extremely weak in comparison to any other country.
I beat the game on hard with every country except Norgard and New Almekia.
I want to play GE but i can't read rune.
>>3692892
its been fully translated for at least a year
>>3692897
The translated version of B:GE is arguably a different version of the game entirely that you shouldn't call the same thing.
ohshit
these fuckers are gonna get destroyed even harder I guess

You talkin bout this?
>>3692925
>It's redubbed by amateur voice actors
>also they changed the content of the dialogue and the story
>and "rebalanced" the game mechanics
yeah no that's not Brigandine: Grand Edition, it's Brigandine: Mormon Edition
man why do they even bother?
AI in this game is a retort
>>3693070
Really? I just grabbed the patch and attempted some "blind" playthroughs. The one time I managed to stick with it and got to the end boss I fucked myself with my latest saves and how little time I had to left beat the boss.
I've played the original so many times I just skip the text. I wouldn't mind playing that online multiplayer.
>>3693103
try the sharp 6800 version of gemfire after you are done
>>3693113
If you're gonna skip all the text you might as well play the Japanese unmolested version
>>3693154
I own that version and I'd rather have the menu, names, and status effects translated.
>>3693163
oh come on the katakana alphabet is only like 48 characters or something
you can learn that
>>3693309
nah
