I beat one of the most recent releases of Ys 1 & 2 on Steam a few months ago. It was just about the epitome of comfy gaming for me. Definitely near the top of my list

Also, just because Falcom themselves didn't work on the port doesn't mean it's bad. Hell these ports are better than any that came afterwards.

Strange. I have both steam and gog's versions and it ran just fine on both of them. Though I went with the english dub. Dogi, Chester and Elena aside it's fucking garbage, but Ys is one series I always go with english audio if it exists.

Lost my old jap version so I can't test it. Unless there were massive changes (aside from script) when they put it on steam it should work in theory.
