I play a lot of Sim City 4. Is there any appeal in 2000 or any of the older games over 4? I think I used to play 3000 as well and that one had scenarios whereas 4 does not.

No it was actually good before the recent one. EA always lied about the features but they were still decent.

Well, SimCity 2k now is more for curiosity of how the series evolved but back then it was pretty amazing. SimCity 4 is pretty much the epitome of the series for me so haven't bothered with any installment past it.

I really like Tropico, it's difficult but still relaxing.
