There is a reason why LA is praised for its art direction, even if it has simple graphics. CGI != good graphics by default, even though this is what all major publishers were pushing at the time (not devs).

I had DKL2 for the regular GB and thought it was pretty awesome. I let some kid borrow it in the third grade then he moved away and I never got it back. Fuck I wanna play it again now.

DKL was great imo because it wasn't a port but a real new adventure.
For some reason they ditched the originality idea with DKL2 and DKL3. Shame.

DKL3 got a color re-release in Japan. It's alright.
