It's a bit challenging but it's not even that hard once you get the bazooka and get used to the swinging mechanics.

not even close. it's one of those games that has a high learning curve, but becomes butt-easy once you know what to do. There are other games out there that are easy to get into but hard to master. otoh Bionic Commando is one of those you can come back to 10 years later and 1-life clear easily.

This game is pretty extreme, most people only knows up to Turbo Tunnel (just level 3), but things don't get more gentle from there on, it's truly a rabbit hole.

I can do a no damage run Battletoads, but to this day I haven't beat The Adventures of Bayou Billy without a Game Genie.

Friday the 13th also doesn't get enough credit for being incredibly hard.
