Started Metroid Prime years ago on a friend's insistence and inexplicably stopped playing almost halfway through despite enjoying it a lot.

Bought Link to the Past original cart and started a game and left off after beating the third dungeon because I wanted it to last. When I was testing out the cart later, I lost my save file. Now I probably won't start a new one for a while.

Finally beat it for the first time in 20 years.
Without the walkthrough to find the secret storage base, I'd have never found it.

It's kind of a double edged sword.

You get the enjoyment of finally beating that game you've been meaning to for years, but sometimes you kill the fun by rushing through it so you can get to the next in your queue.
