Are any of you familiar with this?
My brother texted me asking about it.
I figured that this board would give a more accurate review.

Lots of people on here love these, I don't own one personally. But in terms of specs its quite rock solid, 1.8ghz quad core cpu, 700 mhz gpu, 2 gigs of ram and bunch of other stuff is good for the price, only limiting factor is Android which can be spotty as a games platform, but this device should be able to manage considering what's under the hood.

Uh, no we don't. Android emulators are shite.

See people on here all the time on here saying "don't get xxxxx get a gpd or the pi"
I do agree though that emulators on android could be alot better

Move on in life because none of these "dedicated" portable emulator solutions are worth the money since since there is a humongous chance that your current smartphone can run circles around these things. What you're really going to be paying for are the physical controls and display, and as far as I've seen with the GPD XD in particular it is very subpar. If you want good buttons and shit that's attached and portable just look up any of the twelve dozen or so bluetooth controllers made for those exact purposes, and if you really need a large screen display then just play on your computer monitor. You can even buy a $10 piece of plastic that lets you attach your phone onto a dualshock controller if you have one of those.
Also it's Android, we all know how shit Android-based emulators are. Maybe if it was on some standard linux operating system that supports the actual good and worthwhile emulators like bsnes it would be worth discussing in further detail.

Bad place to ask. The culture here is largely anti-android and holds original hardware in high regards. Just google reviews for it.
I don't have one but they look quite good, but do know they have just launched the GPD Win which is more powerful. These are cheap now though and look very good.
