That level was by far the most stressful. At least it wasn't the hardest too, but it's far from anything 'comfy' looking.

Also may as well contribute to the thread. The maze leading up to the Frozen Palace in Brave Fencer Musashi had comfy music with a wintery feel to it. The way the snow started to come down harder as you got closer to the palace was neat, too. Honorable mentions to Yosyonke City from Mega Man Legends 2.

All the outdoor DKC snow levels scared me as a kid.
The second snow world level though.....absolutely beautiful.
It's unique because it's the only one ice cave in the game. And because of that my favorite track plays there.

I think this is a relevant thread to ask.
I need to find a certain game. A comfy one, too.
It's of these small shareware games, distributed on promotion discs coming with videogame magazines 10 years back, or even more. From Alawar, or Big Fish, that caliber.
The game is a top-down pixel RPG about a North Pole inhabitant. I believe it had a sequel, too. It had quests, and the first one was to get some firewood for your home shack.
The main tool of the player was a woodcutting axe. There were many axes with varying damage, swing speed, effects, etc. No other weapons at all.
And there was a goofy enemy named "Tinny Tin".
And lots, lots of spruces. And snow. Ice, too.
I was searching for it for years.
The anon who would be able to find or remember its name will become an MVP of this board for a day.

I always associate the theme with Spencer's Place for some reason. I think it's because the sound of the waves works with the waterfalls there.
