Does anyone own any of these?

I'm having a hard time deciding whether to go with vertical or horizontal. It seems like horizontal is the best because it replicates the original box but some of the other systems like NES only come in vertical.
>>
>>3640992
If you have a bunch of N64 boxes and you want to mix these replacements in, then I would get horizontal. Otherwise I would get vertical just because that's the standard.

(I assume the image is showing an example of horizontal.)
>>
I've never seen these before. So cool. Can you post link OP?

It's the only place that doesn't absolutely JEW you on prices. There's a store that sells these identical for 8.50.

http://www.customgamecases.com/online-store
>>
>>3641035
I have a couple boxes, but I'm realizing attempting to purchase the games I want complete in box is throwing away money at this point.

I'll probably do vertical if it's the standard. Looks like it when I glance at the SNES and NES boxes.
>>
>>3641085
Both N64 and SNES can be horizontal. But NES is default Vertical and so is Gameboy.
>>
>>3641080
I've used this site before. I print my own cover art and just buy the cases.
GBC/GBA cases: Love them so much. They're DS cases but you don't need to mod them to fit GBC cartridges and manuals.

Genesis: Pretty good too. They seem a bit lighter than original ones and don't close as tightly, but they work well.

NES: EHHHH. The games really snap into place and are hard to get out. Plus they're thicker than I'd like. They're trying to be the same dimensions as the Universal game cases but they easily could have been as thick as a genesis case. But it's not like there are any (mod-less) alternatives.
>>
>>3641110
It looks like they're updating the SNES cases right now.
>>
>>3641110
There aren't any other options for NES cases, though.
>>
Posting here because you guys seem to know what's up.

I'm looking for an empty clear/skeleton super famicom cartridge shell for my sd2snes. I've had a look around and haven't found anywhere that sells them. I see that stoneagegaemer has them for custom sd2snes's but they don't sell them loose. I'd ask them to sell me one on it's own but I'm sure they'd jew me. Anyone have a source?
>>
>>3641080
Wow this site is so dope.
Thanks m8
>>
>>3641121
I've used double-wide DVD cases for a while. The problem with those is the games rattle around and you need some kind of protection from the disc holder.

I switched to these proper NES cases and was disappointed that they take up more shelf space than my old cases.
>>
>>3640992
Aren't those horizontal cases missing the green/yellow end labels on the 3 sides?
>>
>>3641131
Lol, the one thing I'm not sure about.

The only correct answer is to get them horizontal.

>>
Have a bump op
>>
>>3641080
I use custom game cases. There pretty good. Only fucked up my FFTA case where it was black instead of a silver label.

But they're also responsive and they took my custom tactics ogre case and printed it for me.

Shipping is pretty slow though. I imaigne it's just a side business for him.

I do vertical, because I bought these for the sake of normalcy across NES->N64 and Genesis. and they're also similar in height to a DVD case so it makes shelving easier.
>>
>>3640992
That's the only one I own, actually. I have a Taiwanese copy of Ocarina Of Time that my dad got me years ago when he was in Taiwan, and I put in a plastic case.
>>
How good or bad are you at photoshop, OP?
You could make your own, you know. If you have a decent printer, or send it to a print shop.

>$3.50 for a freaking piece of plastic.

OP answer me honestly, are you still in highschool? Because that was where I was the last time I seriously considered buying any luxurious shit like this so I could impress my friends in my fantasies where they came over to my house, which going on eight years has yet to happen.

One more dollar and you could buy a juicy burger at Braum's or Sonic with that kinda dough. Do you not know the value of a dollar? Cause this is not worth a dollar, much less three and a half. PLUS SHIPPING.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
>>
>>3643539
uh
...
>>
>>3643539
I believe the plastic costs them about a dollar and then they print high quality vinyl paper for the labels, which is expensive ink wise. They aren't making a lot of profit off of these.

Those ebay scum resellers are, though.

>>3640992
>i'm having a hard time with my autism.
That's why it's called a disorder instead of a super power.
>>
>>3643539
>sperges out over 3.50/case

When you're an adult, you can do whatever you want with your income. You can be responsible with your money and still have enough money for the "luxurious" and "frivolous" purchases.

Taking pride in your stuff, and being responsible usually go hand-in-hand.

If you're worried about 4.50 for a fucking burger, you have bigger problems, and you should be actively looking at ways to save money.

Maybe turning off your internet.
>>
Does anyone know how I can make decent quality stickers at home? Do I need a special printer.
>>
>>3643539
But the cases are needed to keep the delicious juicy burger grease off my carts.

>>3643630
Printing the labels isn't expensive unless they're buying their supplies from the wrong place. That being said there's not a lot of a lot of money to to made off a $3.50 product.

>>3645998
It depends on your definition of quality. With good stock a typical $50 inkjet will do. If long term fading is a concern you can use a laser. I use a cheap laser printer for my bootleg labels. They're virtually indistinguishable from the originals.
>>
>>3646086
Can you link to the stock you're using?
>>
>>3646086
Ink is the most expensive liquid in the world by volume.
>>
>>3646106
Well, most expensive commercially available liquid.
>>
>>3646098
http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/
I use dozens of different types of stock depending on what I'm printing. My go to stock is J8167. That's a full A4 sheet label and I cut it to the sizes I need. Well, my robot minions do

>>3646106
Elephants have the longest noses in the world by volume. Another interesting tidbit that is also totally not being discussed in this thread.
And you're dead wrong. I'm sorry your autism forces you to double down on your stupidity. I pay $5-$6 per liter for my ink. I pay close to 20x that for some photopolymer resins. I'm sure there are other liquids that are even more expensive. You're a fool and tool.

DO NOT PAY THESE RIDICULOUS PRICES!
Seriously, the Universal Game Cases can be had for cheap when you're in the US.

http://www.mediashelving.com/store/universal-slim-combo-game-full-sleeve

$0.69 per case, if you don't need them in bulk, they can be had pretty much everywhere around the net, just google "Universal Game Case".

And all the covers you need (including a forum for requests and templates) here, horizontal and vertical:

http://www.thecoverproject.net/

With a decent printer, you can print them yourself. If not, every copy shop worth its salt can print them for pennies.

Even if you buy little by little, it's quite a bit of money isn't it?

You can make j-card inserts for cassette tapes and put GB games in there.

>>
>>3647040
... So...
Effectively 1 dollar for the case, plus the shipping on the cases from them... Then you have to do the work to print out of a cover and cut it out.

If you print it out with your home printer the definition and ink will look like shit and something a fifth grader printed out and put in the case.

Furthermore, those cases don't fit NES, which are the vast majority of my boxless games.

If I want high quality/shiny good ink on nice paper, I have to go to staples or office depot or kinko's which will charge me for the printing and cutting.

... Basically, I'm paying multiple dollars already for one case with this dumbass method.

And you're seriously suggesting just printing out covers yourself and putting them in the case?

At that point just fucking order the cases and write the game name on them in sharpie.

And you're still paying like 2 bucks a case with the shipping.
>>
>>3648557
Not to mention it's 30 fucking dollars for black ink and like 20 for colored ink cartridges at home. Unless you print draft or whatever which looks like shit and defeats the purpose of having a high quality display case.
>>
>>3648557
>look like shit and something a fifth grader printed
Wow. Too young to have ever used your dads printer. Underage reported.

>>3648559

>>
>>3647040
anywhere cheaper then 69 cents a case?
they used to be 42 cents
>>

>>

Few people will argue with you one that one sport.
>>
>>3649284
It is true. But you can always do arts and crafts at home and print out your fav images with full color ink and cut the paper with safety scissors :)

Like this sport
>>3649312
>>
>>3649323
Why are you so mad?
>>
>>3640992

Sounds based, I've never used UGCs because they only come by the case
>>

>>
>>3649284
Yes, former Staples employee here. We can't reproduce any copyrighted material, be it a movie poster, banner with a trademarked symbol or a game case full of them. I guess the covers that don't accurately reproduce the originals would be okay, but it'd be up to the manager, and good luck explaining that to him. He's not getting fired because corporate sees him printing it, and they sure as shit don't care whether it was custom or not. OfficeDepot/Max has the same policy, and I'd imagine FedEx Office (Kinko's) does as well.
