Move away everything in front of the windows to open up the room's energy a bit. Also the walls could use some color, fill in those doodles with something that pops like primaries. I'd also recommend hanging something up to break up the smooth wall a bit.

To add, also a big rug would being some warmth to the space. Also move the stuff away from the front of the bookshelf or give it's it's own space. The desks shouldn't be in a line either if they're different models.
