Basically it starts as classic galaga but for every 4 FUCKING QUARTERS you get an additional ship to shoot along side of you. However, usually at some point every 2 levels it seems like the enemies rush you, spinning and shooting and exploding with a pattern you cannot maneuver away from.

Remdemption game adaptations of popular licenses are nothing new. This isn't "ruining" anything, and the OG Galaga isn't going anywhere (there are three places near my house that have the original cabinet). Calm down.

Credit feeding was always pay to win. This does sound worse, but you should just ignore it like a normal person not have a meltdown over it. Go play a normal game of Galaga.

so you can affect your score by pumping more credits? the arcades are all about score after all.
they'd often give you some bonus when you continue, like a weapon in metal slug or full power in donpachi, but your score is reset, so clearing a game by credit-feeding results in taking the last place in leaderboards.
