What's the best settings to emulate playing on a real SNES?
Unfortunately I do not have a CTR monitor, but I'd play to get it as close as possible to the original look.
OP here.
I'm playing on ZSNES.

Don't make me laugh OP
Use Snes9

Is it better? Last time everyone in the thread were saying ZSNES was the better emulator.
So anyway, what settings/filters should I use?

Use Retroarch with SNES9 core (or bsnes) and enable NTSC shaders in it. Optionally you can try using CRT shaders on top of NTSC shader to emulate not only analog output, but also a CRT monitor.

Thank you. I'll try to figure them out.

Make sure to check the "Retro Feel" box. For that retro feel.

ZSNES was a programming marvel... In the late 90s when people were still using Pentium classics. Nowadays there's no reason to use that speedhack riddled piece of work unless it's for nostalgia purposes or running romhacks that don't work on proper emulators. Try Higan, or at the very least SNES9x if you're stuck on a toaster. Higan's requirements are massively overstated; you do NOT need a 4.5GHz i5 to run it. Any decent Core 2 Duo or above should be able to handle it.

Don't make me laugh, faggot.
Use Higan.

This
Was a life saver when I had the P54C Pentium, specially the DOS version would completely outclass the Windows version in performance, the equivalent of Genecyst for SEGA

Doesn't work with .smc
the most authentic, yet not tryhard filter would be something to fake the crt glow(think bloom in modern games) + some blur(i.e. bilinear filtering or blarg filters), and get an oled display.
i love my crt for the glow, not the scanlines which i cannot see unless sitting so close the image turns into a mess.
