So I was emulating Playstation 1 for the first time. In fact I've never really played any Playstation 1. I stuck with my 8bit and 16bit consoles and Playstation 1 always seemed too modern. Anways the first ROM I've decided to play was Disney's Herculas because I remember a friend playing it back in the day. I like that it's a 2d platformer. I like that parallax/3d effect and moving to different "layers". What I don't like: The running scenes. It's hard to tell when you are in front of something. What's even WORSE: There are ROCKS in the game that block your way and you have to hit them like 20 times before they fall apart. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SHIT? Why did they do this? Did they play test the game and came to the conclusion:
>It's not long enough
and some genius had the idea to throw those rocks in there. Worst part: You hit one rock and in the background enemies are throwing rocks at you so it's: Hit, hit, avoid falling rock, hit it, avoid falling rock for like 20 times or more. So freaking annoying and once I had destroyed that one there was another rock NEXT to it. That's when I've turned off the game.

Weren't you meant to wind-up punch the rocks?

If you want 2D games there are plenty of good ones out there. The Mega Man games retained their pixel look, not to mention there is a plethora of shmups out there.

Anything else. My question was really: Why the hell did they put in those rocks? Who thought that would be a good idea and am I doing something wrong? I hit them with my fists and also with my sword but it takes ages like seriously very long.

You're supposed to hold triangle to do a charge punch, it even gives an audio cie when to release the triangle
the PC port runs smoother iirc

It does. The PC port is awesome. I still have it.
