How do you pronounce it, anyway?

Why would you pronounce it in English? It's not an English word.
Look up the IPA pronounciation for the Japanese syllables.

The eXceed collection is a Japanese Bullet Hell shmup with really good soundtrack for PC. My point being that the second game in the series has the same bullet switching mechanic as Ikaruga. Highly recommended if your into that style of shmup.

Eee- Kah - Roo- Gah
Japanese is extremely simple as a language when it comes to pronunciation, which is merciful considering everything else you want to learn in it.
>>3615307
Yeah but as an english native speaker it's not as simple as you may think.
How am I supposed to pronounce Kah, Roo or Gah?
caw? Keah? Kaeh?
How do I pronounce Roo?
Row? Raw? Rugh?
How do I pronounce Gah?
Gaw? ghea? Ghuh?
It's difficult as fuck, chinese is easier to pronounce than japanese for me.
>>3615310
Say the letter E
caw
Rue
Gah
Japanese is very easy to pronounce.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Ikaruga. Not a bad title but it's fame is far overblown. Whoever thinks this memory game is the best shmup ever need to explore the genre more.

You need to suck some more cock.
Shitty puzzle shooter
>>3615732
you need to try and provide counterarguments.fag

It's not grey. And just look at that attention to detail. Thinks don't need to have bright colours everywhere. And besides, I have sensitive eyes and prefer muted colours.
Shmups are for autistic shmucks.

In japan they have the same vowel's as we do however it is ordered in aiueo instead of aeiou. You pronounce each in only one way for instance a is only ah no A or aa. For u it is like saying oo for us. For the k, r, and g is quite simple but weird. In japanese they don't use those as independent letters they combine them with the vowels by placing them first. k for example has ka, ki, ku, ke, ko same goes for s, t, and so on. Their letters are two letters for us. so ru would be roo like ruby for us. So think of Ikaruga as "I ka ru ga" instead.
tldr: Just say E kah roo gah

Yeah this was a pretty one. Some of the sequences in it had an unusually epic feeling to them. It's sort of a grand game, stylistically at least.
