Do yourself a favor. Snip your lockout chip and get a cheap 60 to 72 pin converter like pic related. Suddenly the wonderful world of cheap and plentiful famicom games is available to you. There are loads of great games that didn't get a western release and require no Japanese knowledge to play.
OP, stop. Get an EverDrive. Please. For the love of god. Even a Chinese knockoff Everdrive.
You missed the NES collecting bus. You can't pick up games for $1 out of the bargain bin anymore. Everyone wants NES games. You'll get charged an arm and a leg for anything even remotely good.
Super Mario Bros 3? That's about $30.
Contra? That's worth an insane $50 now.
Help us drive down the prices by getting an Everdrive that can play everything. I know it's not authentic, but trust me. You're saving a ton of money, and it'll put a dent in the businesses of game resellers who caused these retarded prices in the first place.

uhh, stupid question, can I play lost levels with that?
Go to AliExpress and buy the Chinese multicarts. There's one that has battery saving and includes the FF games, EB0, Kirby's adventure, Zelda etc.
>>3613465
that was an unnecessarily hurtful thing to say
>>3613526
I bought a "150 in 1" about a month ago and it's still somewhere in china. this is after I told someone they were dumb for spending $30 (twice as much) to get the same thing from amazon in 2 days. really makes u think.

Arkista's Ring is super fun.
Due to cancerous resellers now a 25$ piece
>>3613502
Yes. You can play any NES/Famicom/FDS game with an EverDrive.
>>3612065
Blaster Master
Kid Icarus
Metroid
Mike Tyson's Punch Out
SMB3
Zelda
Zelda 2
>>3612065
Contra
>>3612758
Are the cheap chink everdrives still available anywhere? Last I recall, all of the ones on aliexpress were taken down.
>>3615080
Is kid icarus really an essential? I've been putting off getting it forever now because I don't get games I don't think I'll ever play, but I've been on the fence with this one.

It's a good game, but it's brutally hard, so prepare your anus.
>ctrl + f
>no Dynowarz
>>3616521
Just play it.
>>3612758
This anon is on the money. I say this as someone who bought original carts and spent well over $200 total. I have about 15 "good" games and of those I only really played 3 for more than an hour (Zelda I, Mario 3, and Ghosts & Goblins). Save yourself the remorse, a good flash cart can be found on Amazon or eBay from a US seller without the import bullshit.

If it makes you feel any better, I am that anon from before, and I bought an Everdrive instead, so now I just have this pointless multicart laying around.

You can still get them here:

Looks like the N8 is unavailable currently though.
Oh and OP, if you're cheap, you can get this multicart (pic related). It's by far the best multicart collection out there.

Frankly I support this notion.
Too many great games you'll never play anyway because of prices. One thing is shelling out £30 for Castlevania III, but £500 for Little Samson is just insane.
What are some NES games that are affected most by input lag? Punch Out comes to mind.
>>3617719
That was what I was going to mention. Shmups can be bad about it too.
