name some games that are generally considered to be mediocre or worse that you really enjoy.
super chase hq on snes is one. yeah, it gets old quick but you can put the game away and come back to it. what is there is unique and fun for me.
talespin on genesis. yeah, it's not perfect and there are better options (other Disney platformers for sure) but I have good memories of this one and enjoy it a lot.
I like these games. if someone else said they couldn't get into them, I wouldn't try to convince them. these games don't feel like they'd be for everyone especially super chase hq.

Ultimate Fighter on the SNES. It's part of the "Flying Warriors" franchise, and can't seem to make up its mind whether it wants to be about classic Chinese kung fu or super sentai heroes. I love it.

DKC3, Plok, Vortex and Starfox are the games that I think of in that category. Not sure if all of them are considered mediocre but they don't seem to be talked about as much on most of the internet.

Sparkster Sega Genesis. People love to hate this game around here.
Even though Rocket Knight Adventures is better, Sparkster is so good that there is no way you should pass.
