>>3609372
Still my favorite retro game to date, I know it's not objectively the best, but I love it.
>>3609383
Yes muh boi
Jap gaming IS retro gaming.
>>3609372
Probably Rondo of Blood or some Koei stuff like Uncharted Waters 3: Costanza del Sol.

Sexy aesthetics
80s and 90s Japan was the pinnacle.

Parish has said many times that he can't speak Japanese and that he uses translations for said games when a English translation exists, just like Dr.Sparkle & Greg Sewart.

The Let's Get! guy seems to know Japanese fairly well.
I bought a WonderMega back in the day purely based upon its aesthetics. Saw it in an EGM, and realized it is pretty cool that the CD door electronically opens and closes up.
(Only recently did I buy the JP MD1+MCD2 just so I can get RGB from my Mega Drive games, but for decades the WonderMega on S-video was nice enough for me)

Does my Super Famicom copy of Wolfenstein 3D count? I got it because it was $10 cheaper than ordering the North American version.

>>3609389
Yeah that's definitely the pinnacle all right. That 3 inch controller cord.
Pinnacle.

superdeadite seems to live in Japan and I think lukemorse1 does too.
I tried using my Japanese abilities to stream games in Japanese once. Too bad it was Romancing SaGa 2 and my first playthrough so I got my ass handed to me.
I did end up getting into the translation romhack scene though, because I figured that's more helpful for people who want to play games in general.
Also, PC-98 is a lot of fun and oddly nostalgic with having to use floppy disks, hard drives, and DOS and shit.

Is the Satellaview actually usable in anyway with its service being shutdown?
>>3611041
I guess you could enter into the BS menu/game and do little else.
>>3610867
For him, 3 inches is long.
>>3611012
We still use hard drives dude.
I figure this is as good a place as any to post since the translation release thread is down.

That's a trailer for the translated version of 46 Okunen Monogatari: The Shinkaron which is coming soon, the PC-98 predecessor to E.V.O.: Search for Eden.
