What are some ARCADE shmups that are easy to 1cc (or at least 1 LOOP clear) for a non-SHMUP player.
I'm not really a SHMUP player, but I can probably 1 loop games like Out Zone, Fixeight, R-Type 1, etc. (Outzone and Fixeight are probably closer to overhead run and guns though, which is probably why i like them in particular)
Out Zone has that ridiculously awesome yoyo weapon. Fixeight has like 4 overpowered characters (Mike Tyson, Ninja, Lizard, and Blue dude -- don't knock the blue dude, he's freaking amazing as long as you stay away from his S weapon). R-Type 1 first loop is kinda easy. Haven't dedicated myself to other shmups though to be honest.

Try Image Fight, also made by IREM (R-Type).
You will be in for a challenge but because you can clear R-Type it wont be a problem for you.

Don't take this list 100% literally but it's a good reference.
Vimana and Batsugun Special loop 1 are some piss-easy clear if you don't want a challenge at all

If you find r-type 1 easy, you're already a good shmup player. As an actual non-shmup player I took an extremely long time and had an immense amount of trouble before I finally managed to 1cc it.

Not really. I've done it already. What I meant by "probably" is "probably on a consistent basis" actually.
