I can't remember ever feeling extremely overjoyed over a new console. I'm 20 so none of my experiences are /vr/ relevant. My first console was a GBA and I remember getting it for Christmas one year. I grew up disliking it because I had bad taste and would only get console games. I had like five crappy licensed games my mom brought me so I thought the GBA was garbage for years.

Tbqh, the most excitement I get is from retro consoles. I remember being so happy when I was like 13 and brought a N64.

When I was 7 my dad came back from a holiday and surprised me with a Super Nintendo. The SNES came with Super Mario World, and he also picked up Robocop VS The Terminator with it because I loved both movies and he knew it.
