It's worth playing the original SNES Chrono Trigger. You might like it better than one of the ports.

I'd also recommend Soul Blazer and the excellent SNES port of Super Smash TV.

There's a lot of good snes games. SNES, ps1, famicom, ps2 probably have the biggest libraries and many obscure gems. So sure, start there. But there's a million other ones.

No. Tell your mom your SD died and you need a new one. They don't even make 128MB ones any more. You'll end up with at least 4G which holds everything actually worth playing a few times over. They're like $5. You could probably vacuum more than $5 worth of meth out of your sofa.
