I can play as a Fighter, thief, or a Necromancer.
My attempt to play as a Necromancer in single player failed.
You could use whatever character you please as long as they are not above level 3.

is there a better place to post this thread?

I've played D&D 3.5 and 5.0 but from my research it seems AD&D best represents the fantasy universe.
Because I had a DM that would always want to start a fresh game, Ive never actually achieved level 5.

Sounds fun but I couldn't commit to any time to play a big RPG like Baldur's Gate and I hear the EE MP is kinda buggy too sorry anon. I think you'll find managing 6 party members in combat to be the best part of BG anyways

well if you change your mind its the only server not being password protected. very strange how there is 12 servers, all of them password protected except for mine, and each server containing 2 people at most

So I set everything up, down to my necromancer and a bezerker, All the way to the Hot Assasin Chick and her Friendly half orc shaman friend.
then when you go to launch the game, it ask for a password. I managed to click out of the menus but it seemed as it might not have allowed it without password anyway

From what I understand, AD&D is the best. Playing later D&D Seems to me like you kill too many monsters too fast. you start out as a hero.
Honestly even In AD&D you do. in every D&D except the first have you dont have to roll to kill civilains. so perhaps the first D&D had it right the first time.

Technically yes if you count the NWN2 remake of Baldur's Gate. You can't change the ruleset of the actual BG game though.

I haven't played any tabletop but I prefer AD&D 2E in video game form simply because there's less trap builds and feats. Also the IE games play like RTS games with heroes only.

Female human Necromancer

Female halfling assasin

Female elf fallen archer

Male human Anti- Paladin

Alright, so in truth I have a couple other characters here, but its really pulling my fingers to let you play them.

Sorcerer- Thats the main character. I guess you cant really play that.

Bezerker- Male Human. Prof in single weapon style and eastern weapons

They all have bios written and I believe the charcters are made for a generally hardcore campaign.

at the beginning of the game I killed all the guards to get theyre armour. now im paying for it.

does anyone have a theory as to why all of the servers are password locked with 1 to two players?

I have a full party aproaching level 2, and each of the party members is unique and has their own bios. I would gladly share so everyone is in control of one individual, like it should be.

Minimum Score of 3, -2 for Half Orc racial = 1 int character. The game mechanics don't take into account thinks like breathing. I only wish we'd gotten to some more dialogue for the hilarity.

why not try this game out. im sure you'll find the characters interesting. everything but the voice is custom. I did download the portriats online, as making them turned out to be a lengthy excursion.

I was a designer for Black Isle, worked on BG 1 and 2 and Planescape. I worked at SSI prior to that. Agter Black Isle folded I worked at Troika.

Enhanced was before my time,did they add MP?

Mobile's not bad. It's perpetually the last version before 2.0, with the EE NPCs and extras as IAP.

Controls aren't always the best though.

Mostly though you can do without just fine. The beamdog-exclusive content is mostly shit but it's only a few things outside the expansion. For the most part it's Tough and fixes baked in with better handled widescreen.

Perhaps so, why not assist my party in reaching a good base for leveling in baldurs gate two? My aim is to get my characters to level 30 and hopefully there will be mods or something i can download to continue my adventures. I just want some high level heros you know?
