Mario was always hardcore.

The mods are so wishy washy about adaptation threads. Sometimes they are allowed, sometimes they aren't. I made one a few weeks ago and it was deleted after a day.

Anyway, this show actually isn't bad. Accurate? Nope. But horrible? Tbqh, it's probably better than a good chunk of 80s cartoons. It's mainly weird because of how it goes against our views so heavily (middle aged Mario, Mario and Luigi not being twins, no romance between Peach and Mario, redheaded Peach, Peach's entire personality, etc).

Koopalings make more sense as henchman than they do children anyway.

He probably retconned this when he realized nobody would ever like Bowser Jr. as much as the Koopalings, so he could bring them back without getting rid of Bowser Jr.

Not that I'm saying he's still got it or anything, the man has been a detriment to Mario for years, the only ones who don't think so are the biggest of defensive fanboys.

While I definitely imagine him to be in his 40s, given the simplicity of Mario's design, I guess I wouldn't expect too much difference in appearance between depicting him in his mid-20s and maybe 50, save for maybe his outfit or size of stache. The different design stages would probably go something like baby, child, teen (adult minus stache), adult (mid 20s to ~50), older man (gray hair, maybe one wrinkle line under eyes), and then aged grandfather (cane, whit hair).

Miyahon is the creator so he can make him whatever age he wants. That being said, I'd imagine that, given his mustache and plumbers outfit, most people would probably peg him as late 30s through late 40s.

It'd be interesting to poll people without much knowledge of the games to see what age they'd assign to him based simply on his design. Popeye is another cartoon with a simple style who could probably be anywhere from 20s to 40s (apparently he's in his early 40s).

The early western adaptations weren't exactly accurate, especially the film. Mario seems young in Mario-kun and the OVAs. In SMSS and the film Mario wasn't even the same age as Luigi, his twin brother.

Sure, Galaxy 2 had better level design and all that, but most people I talked to said the atmosphere wasn't as good. I was certainly let down that the opening was so shit compared to that epic scenario with Bowser's airship armada swooping down and blasting Toad Town while the UFO lifts Peach's Castle into the Sky. And then the end with the black hole, and Bowser's star reactor going super nova was also pretty sick. Galaxy 2 is way less satisfying after all that.

As for Zelda, he hasn't been too involved with that series ever since Aonuma came on board, which was right after A Link tot he Past.
