I don't really see a Halloween specific thread up.
What are you guys playing for October? Pic related for me.
I'm loving it, but my only gripes are the camera and its controls AND I collected a Chalice in The Sleeping Village, but it doesn't have a check mark next to the Chalice Icon on the map, so it's as if I didn't collect one. Could this be a bug? I AM playing on a PS2.
ive tried to play that just 2 weeks ago on my ps3, it was the very firat time in my life that ive experienced motion sickness, controls and camera are fucking absolute garbage its unplayable.
Just started playing this myself. Played the demo a ton when it was new and I had a copy of the fame for a while but never put too much time into it.
I'm loving it so far, but haven't had a chance to progress too much. I'm aiming to get every chalice as well. I've had no issue with the camera to be honest.

Bloodborne
I find Capcom's Midnight Wanderers games - available on the Three Wonders multiboard and Capcom Classics Collection Vol.2 onPS2 and XBOXto have a deeply unsettling, nightmarish vibe.
Am I weird?
I'm actually running through a spooktober list all the way until the end of the month, and I had started out with a couple of staples. Castlevania 1, 3, Demon's Crest, Chakan, and right now running through 2 of the 3 Kemco nes games. finished Shadowgate and right now on pic related. Theyre comfy games for this time of the year.

Fuck off John you're fucking autistic
I tried to start playing this a week ago, but the slow pace and tank controls put me off it. Maybe I'll give it another go after I finish Jet Force Gemini.

Who's John?

I just thought about playing the exact same game for October! It just feels perfect for the season, doesn't it?
>>3558552
Great game until you get to the pirate ship level.
Fuck that level.
Any sp00ky games for gb or gbc?
Is there really any other choice?

Adore this game, the monsters, the music, the weapons. The only thing I want is for it to be brought to a new console with more buttons so you can cycle left/right on your items/weapons instead of just one way.
It's too hard, I've never beaten it, and anybody I play it with wants to give up around the 2nd mansion level and I want to give up by the sand worm level.
What other games are kind of horror inspired, but not actually a horror game? Tried Ghoul Patrol, didn't like it
>>3560069
my favorite game of all time, that game alone made me a fanatic for all things horror.

I know what I'm playing

HAVE YOU SEEN A LITTLE GIRL
Playing Final Fantasy Adventure for GB. Besides that it was obviously supposed to be a Secret of Nana game, nearly all the dungeon enemies are classic horror themed.
>>3560421
the secret of nana is that she's actually a grandpa
OP here. Welp, I'm a giant faggot.
The Chalice and the check mark are two different things. The check mark being an item you collect in the level. The item in the sleeping village I missed was the shadow artifact in a safe inside some big house.
I guess I thought the icons were both related because up until that point, I always came out of a level with both icons and just assumed that the check mark was part of the chalice icon and not having that check mark meant I didn't get the Chalice.

Nah, the secret of Nana is that she's like seven years old.

>The only thing I want is for it to be brought to a new console with more buttons so you can cycle left/right on your items/weapons instead of just one way.
There's a level hack that made the L/R buttons do that, and an unmapped button does the map.
SNES only though.

I rented this from blockbuster and played the shit out of it many times. One of the best.
A grisly murder mystery never fails to get my blood pumping.
>>3562808
It's a reimagining, but (and this has been said before) more DreamWorks-esque than Tim Burton-esque (which the original was).
Framerate on PSP (playing on a 3000) is GARBAGE, but the gameplay (keep in mind that I only played the first level) is pretty good and controls great.
I usually hate saying this, but emulate it if you can. Don't play the PSP game before the original, obviously.

Yes
Is Nightmare Creatures fun? Are the sequels okay?
>>3564048
Sequels are absolute hilarious garbage. First is meh.
>>3564095
>garbage
>not enjoying edgy stupid Rob Zombie Demonoid Phenomenon
>>3564048
I played the second one on DC. It's not that spooky and it's average, but everything in this game is disturbing and/or nauseating:
>Hero is a mentally deranged fucker with its head covered in bands, fighting fucked up creatures with an axe
>Creepy locations (asylum, manor, deserted streets in Victorian-era London)
>Complete loneliness and isolation apart from enemies
>Disturbing fatalities (e.g. Beheading a zombie, then keeping on butchering his body).
It's not particularly great nor particularly bad, but it definitely fits a Spooktober.
