Just watched pic related and loved it. Anyone have any other good /vr/ documentaries, other than the obvious king of kong? Professional or amateur, as long as it's quality.

Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters
Chasing Ghosts: Beyond The Arcade
Once upon Atari is good.
The Space Invaders: In Search of Lost Time is really good but the whole thing has a really somber and depressing tone. It focuses quite a bit on how big arcade games used to be and just how scarce they are now.
shit sux. Fat Hilbilly Can't Roll Over Nibbler Again: The Movie

It wasn't bad actually. I would like to see what Japanese Tetris tournaments are like though, they've no doubt held some before.

Fuck that's a cozy one.
>You will never NEVER work for Atari in it's glory days
I think that Tetris tournaments are good ways to be a world record and to be a Tetris master.p.s.l think I'm probably over anylizing video games ('w')

A lot of it is about the actual football part but this is a really good documentary about tecmo bowl.

It is. Everybody is pushing against the skill ceiling so the winner is mostly down to luck. The only good part is the brief mention of the TGM series (where real skill-based competition at this level is possible).
"Get Lamp" covers the history of early text adventures. There's also a YouTube series produced by Red Bull that I forget the name of which covers the music and composers of 80s-era Japanese games.
If there's room for books then add Masters of Doom and Racing the Beam
Chasing Ghosts is the best by far
It's on Hulu, prolly Netflix too

yeah it definitely wasn't boring. just seeing Thor Aackerlund make some sort comeback was worth it.

Ecstasy of Order is great.

atari: game over is about trying to find the truth behind the infamous e.t. landfill. it has a good amount of general atari history and they explain the search well. i saw it on netflix, it might still be there

It kinda bothered me how much they played up the "is the landfill real" angle when it was never in dispute whether or not the dump actually happened.
But as a movie about the story of Howard Scott Warshaw and the downfall of Atari it's fantastic.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOQZmjD6P2Hk9m-sEG_fouQrtzjOC3-pQ - series about some old games by an actually good youtuber. Pretty interesting one about Amiga FPS, for me who didnt know much about the platform anyway.
Not /vr/ but I thought Second Skin was pretty good. It's about MMO players.
