Have you tried replaying old educational games as an adult?
I had fond memories of the Magic School Bus series, except the "Explores the human body" one, and looking back on it, it somehow feels even creepier now.

I had the Solar System one, I believe I still have the "passport" instruction manual somewhere.
I played it because it was Magic School Bus, but the actual platforming sections were really bad.

My first game was Adiboo and looking at screenshots of it now just makes me think about wasted time and death. It's also like it was designed to make you insane now looking back.
I still think about making cakes on it though

Bushbuck: Global Treasure Hunter kicks fucking ass! I wonder how something similar would fare these days. I mean if the items and clues were obscure/vague enough to require more than just Google to find.

My memories are mostly from the dinosaur one and the animals one. They sucked.

I remember playing some educational human body game, and it was like corridor based. Blood cells coming at you and shit. It actually gave me fucking nightmares.
