Twisted metal is more arcade like Interstate us more of a simulation. It runs on the Mech Warrior 2 engine if i remember correctly, and the customization is pretty much the same, only instead of a mech you customize a car.

I used to play the shit out of the sequel,forgot what it was called but yeah good shit.

Rouge vacation is the best, concept wise at least. A bit polygony crazy , but challenging and fun.

You should! get the GOG version, runs pretty well. Only thing is that I sometimes get crashes and these weird texture bugs. For the texture bugs just minimalize the game few times and it should fix itself, but the crashes... just save often I guess...

Shilling is bringing up games that were recently talked about by a tuber. That makes people say "hmmm, wonder what that game is about" so they search on youtube then find the recently uploaded video from lgr which leads to more views for the video.

First time I visit /vr/ and I see one of my favorite games.

I played the shit out of this. You really need to poke around to get it running properly on a modern system though, I've had success with windows 7.

I didn't need to cap the framerate, and i am running it on windows 7 too. Only thing i get is occasional crashes between missions, and texture bugs.

I had always read that a number of scripted events (The big jump partway through the campaign being the biggest) are tied to framerate, and are impossible to complete otherwise.

That and I thought I recalled the "wobbly wheels" bug being related to it.
