How does /vr/ play Gameboy games?

Don't really care for GB, but I play GBA games on Wii (VBA GX).

Original model for nostalgia.

Original GameBoy. I like the way the display looks. I do have a Pocket, but I don't like it as much. For Color games, a Color.

GBA if I'm actually going anywhere because that's what I got.

And I usually emulate it on my wii or PC if I'm at home.

I've got my model 101 SP and It suits me just fine.

SGB2 if I'm at home, GBA SP on the go because backlight. Occasionally I'll break out the DMG for nostalgia's sake, but in anything less than perfect lighting conditions it's not very easy to play. I'm too spoiled these days, I guess.

Usually mgba or retroarch gambatte core on Wii.

GBA Is great because It's not an AA battery sucker and has great backward compability.

101 SP or 101 modded GBA

GBC if I'm feeling nostalgic

I still have this thing lying around but I don't use it because - and I don't know if this has always been the case and I'm simply not used to it anymore or if it has deteriorated over time - the screen contrast is complete garbage.

I've got a Game Boy Light that I like using, though if I'm playing a GBC game I usually use an SP, but when playing Pokemon I use Stadium 2's GB Tower because 2x speed is a hell of a drug.

My old Gameboy has the same issue, plus no sound. That is a great-looking GB on the outside at least. Always been partial to white portable consoles myself

They don't really wear out as far as I've ever seen or heard of. The DMG screen was always complete crap.

Wish you had org gameboy and gameboy color separate i play on the gbc used to play on the sp but it was stolen.

I have 3 gba's 2 101 sp's and one original, 3 pockets and 3 gbc's. I like my gameboy's but i normally play with my sp 101 models as they have the best screen. Also have 70 games
