Bonk was supposedly the PC-Engine/TurboGrafx's answer to Mario and Sonic. Bonk has basically been a forgotten platformer mascot in the same vein as Alex Kidd.
I personally did not like Alex Kidd, but is Bonk actually good, or is the series forgotten for a reason?

The Bonk games fill a certain void for me that other platformers fail to do so. The sense of charm they gives off is very unique.

Bonk's Revenge is easily one of the best games ever made. Excels in every aspect, except meats are too rare
Adventure is simple but very fun and has impressive atmosphere unmatched by the other games.
Super Bonk 2 feels like a proper sequel to Revenge but has some odd quirks.
Bonk 3 is great but has a poor soundtrack. It is saved by solid level design
Super bonk has an excellent soundtrack but the level design falls completely flat after the first world
