Apparently, this leaked today

While almost finished, it was obvious it had to be cancelled...
I guess it's an ok game but it feels a bit plain and graphics aren't too nice.

Read the novel. This should be interesting.
A couple more screenshots.
>>3487714
I didn't know the game plot turned into a novel!
>>3487721
They dropped most of it. Christie Golden wrote it, so it's good. And then they have bits of it in the caverns of time.
This might seem weird but I remember watching a full playthrough on YouTube like two years ago.
I wonder if the guy who had that copy just went "Oh whatever, you can play it now too peasants"
>>3487742
5 years ago, even. Seems like the files took the long way to be properly shared.

>Christie Golden
>good
>>3487701
Looks like game made in flash.
Never thought I'd ever see this released, even illegally. Needs to be saved. An important piece of gaming history.
>>3487713
Plain, yeah, but I'd say the graphics aren't THAT far from Curse of Monkey Island which is probably the best looking 2D adventure game. In my opinion this looks better than Full Throttle.
I watched the playthrough from Youtube some time ago and the game seemed fairly well done, if lacking a bit polish and some segments. It's a shame they cancelled it but it's good that it's now out.
Damn. Missed it.

Fear not anon. What goes on the internet, stays on the internet https://torrentproject.se/02fa1ec0c353a0ea63e8805b0bfcbe554c1c5a10/Warcraft-Adventures-Lord-of-the-CLans-rar-torrent.html

It could be worse. It could have been Richard Knaak.
>>3492382
not him but thank you
>>3492382
Just finished the torrent. Thanks!
If the game is entirely done and finished, why was it never released? I remember that I was pissed, back in the nineties when I read how it got cancelled in one of the game mags (about the same time they cancelled Star Trek. Secret of Vulcan fury which promised to be an awesome point and click game too). I understand that adventure games were losing steam as fps's took over for the most part, but if the game was entirely finished and everything was done, why did they not just release the thing? Was Blizzard so afraid of the sales that they thought they wouldn't cover the cd prints/marketing?
>>3493147
Blizzard's official statement is that it wouldn't have met the expectations of their fans/playerbase/consumers in general, in other words, it wasn't up to par and it would have hurt their image (at least that's the vibe I get)
>>3493147
If the leaked beta was the final build, it's actually more like 90% and still needed a bit more work. It might not be though.
I think it's a bit of >>3493149 and your reasoning - it wasn't stellar as far as 2D Adventure games go AND it probably wouldn't have covered the costs that would be needed to put the game on shelves - if digital distribution had existed back then they might have just bit the bullet but in their circumstances, they might as well have just accepted it as a sunk cost.
>>3493179
if it was made after the success of WoW it would have sold like hotcakes.

Deleted file. Can anybody reupload to Mega?
Appears to work fine. Just gotta get the sound working again on the old PC.

Her you go.
>>3494441
Thank you, kind anon!
Anyone able to get it working on Windows 10?
>>3487701
pretty angry it didn't save my progress. at least it's not too difficult.
>kekked at the parts with missing voice acting and hearing Microsoft Sam instead
>>3489607
Anything 2d looks like a game made in flash.
>>3495947
set it for compatibility for Windows 98/ME
>>3495984
Yeah, the saves not working is a bummer.
>>3493147
The game looked like shit compared to the competition, and adventure games were already doomed by the time
> "LucasArts had released their title The Curse of Monkey Island in the fall of 1997, and had announced their next adventure game title Grim Fandango sporting a 3D engine. In comparison, producer Bill Roper felt WarCraft Adventures looked dated"
fun fact:
The art was outsourced to the same people who made the CDi Zelda games.
Only goes to show how far people are up their own ass when they call the shirt art in lord of the clans beautiful and then shit all over cdi zelda.
>>3491852
>Plain, yeah, but I'd say the graphics aren't THAT far from Curse of Monkey Island
MI:3 looks a lot better
>>3487701
>that Microsoft Sam for missing voice acting
anybody else notice that?
>>3495989
Tried that, still no work. :(
>That intro
>Those laughs
Kek, I'm sold.
>>3498640
It worked directly on Win10 for me, didn't need to set compatibility settings.
Can you try moving the game elsewhere (another drive than C) and running from there?
Did you edit the ini files by the way?
>>3487701
This recently leaked and soon Earthbound 64 will leak. It has been a good september
>>3498823
>and soon earthbound 64 will leak
where did you hear that?
>>3498720
I will try my external drive, thanks, anon.
Have not edited the ini files yet.
>>3496084
Is Grim Fandango is the only case where a game is so perfect that it kills it's own genre?
>>3501738
u heard me
That was fun and more satisfying than the last adventure game I played.
