Well, it was released in like 2 arcades, but it didn't go so well so it wasn't more widely distributed. Distribution of arcade games worked quite different from console games.

I just picked this up at a retro game store. From what I played it looks like a really neat action platformer, with some of the gothic influence of Castlevania. Some impressive graphics too, nice big detailed sprites and cutscenes. Can't wait to sit down and play through the whole thing soon.

Awesome concept. This is the kind of thing I was expecting for that Scorn game.

Astyanax is a cool game. The arcade version is also fun, with similar mechanics but an entirely different story/setting (kinda).

Jaleco is one of those devs that made a lot of bad games, but some of them stood out from the pack, like Game Tengoku and Cybattler (excellent shmups), Ninja-Kun II: Ashura no Shou (the only good Ninja Jajamaru-kun game), and Phantasm (really cool concept: a ghost possessing enemies to fight through action stages). Not to mention a lot of games that are just decent, like Carrier (a boring, yet competent and occasionally entertaining Code Veronica clone), and Makai Densetsu (aka Makai World), which looks like garbage but is a pretty funny-looking decent kusoge.

I like Rodland. It's a bit like snow brothers or bubble bobble. Had a port on the NES and Commodore computers, in fact the Amiga version is one of the few arcade ports on the system that isn't garbage, it's actually very good.
