I love Klonoa!

As a youth I ALWAYS thought the character's name was pronounced "KLONGA".

Then reality came crashing down on me and it dawned that the character's name is actually "KLONOA".

What a tremendous disappointment. KLONOA? When I was a child, I would gleefully exclaim "KLONGA!" "KLONGA!" I was SO excited about
KLONGA!

No.

Life's not like that.

There's no cheerful somebody waiting for you at
that altar.

There's no meaning in your alphabet soup.

There's a right to obey.

And there's a right to kill.

Played through the PS1 original last month. Very fun, solid platformer, with a lot of potential that seems to have been tapped in the PS2 sequel. Audiovisuals hold up as well as I'd hoped (even Pac-Man World from Namco around that period looks cool). Balue's Tower is the shit.

I've been a fan of the game for fucking ever and decided to LP the Wii remake, am very close to done.

The game is a fucking blast, though. Way better than I remember.

You are right. The only Playstation PAL release I ever paid attention to was Mickey Mania, which I know I am missing out on the definitive version. So just North America is missing out on Klonoa Beach Volleyball.

Nice find anon. Glad to see another fan of the series, albeit a bit more dedicated.

Anyone else think the hat design is pretty neat? Imagine if a splatoon character had an nes morph ball on their hat. or something else from a retro design. Hard to believe even Klonoa is considered retro now.
