I finally went and got MG1&2 out of my back log. I thought they were pretty cool. Especially for 8 bit games that predate LoZ.
Are there other 2d stealth games that are any good?

What world do you live in that 1987 predates 1986?
Pac-Man
It's a shame the bosses of MG1 and 2 were not memorable. Not FOXHOUND tier memorable I mean.

I don't know about that. I thought Shoot Gunner and Running Man were memorable enough for me.

>me looking at the artwork
>this looks like shit
>look at Liquid Snake
>"The fuck is wrong with his leg?"
>stare at it for 10 seconds
>realize it's Solidus' robotic tentacle
garbage

Honestly, the helicopter and not-terminator were more memorable. And Coward Duck, but only because hostages.
On the other hand, not getting 20 minutes to an hour of exposition for each boss was nice. Looking back, it really annoys me that they felt the need to pontificate on every special snow flake they came up with.

Ocelot was so cool in 1. Sucks they ruined him in 2, 3, 4, and probably 5 too but I haven't played it yet.

Kyle Schneider was pretty good.

OK, are there any good retro stealth games for Windows not named Thief?
